its the only way they can even start by addressing the boosting problem that is slowly but most assuredly taking over games. No less than a quarter of my games last night were basically crap because A clan would suck up 6 slots and then have their buddy join into the lobby on the opposing team and start boosting for Nukes, choppers and AC130s. FFA is also a complete joke as is Mosh Pit, especially when playing against certain cheater clans.

Oh, and to the BearJew_90 and AfroMan_90....to boost for AC130's of which you managed to get 3, and still lose....wow....you really should consider a game more your speed....like MarioKart. You've got to be a special kind of stupid if the only way you think you can win is by using a patsy kill toy to earn your rank....

HAHAHA wow 3 of them and still lost??? I dunno bout the banning the join feature. cuz then it would screw up things for everyone else who isnt boosting.

They should have something like W@W at least where you could not allow other people to join your party, the join feature is NOT helpful when playing GB, it is a pain in the fricking ass especially how it only lets you join games NOT parties.

Boosting is an extremely fragile issue to address in MW2.

Of course there are many different types, but I've tried to come up with my own solution to Riot Shield Boosting. I realize that many people do this every day and it's extremely difficult to get around because of the Perk 1 One Man Army. One of three things must be done in order to stop this:

• Make riot shields earn 0 points over time (even with One Man Army class switches)
• Limit the number of class switches available with One Man Army
• Make it so "Invite to Game" or "Join Session" can only be available if there is an open spot on said member's team, not the opposing team.

But it's pretty difficult for IW, they didn't know that this would be happening, and hopefully in less than a few weeks most of it will be fixed.

because, you can go into a free-for all....then your buddy need only check his friends list and there you are on free-for all and he hits JOIN. In COD4, it was luck of the draw and rarely could you get into a lobby if someone sent you an invite as it usually filled up fairly quickly...

I get that they want to make connecting to your friends easier...I love that since I have a pretty big group of solid players I play with and it would suck to lose the join feature, but here is a PERFECT example of how a few hacks manage to ruin something for the majority of us. Would love to know if there is anyway possible to end these boosters and let them go back to their silly cage matches where they can play with eachother all they want...giving eachother headshots, etc.

Just try ignore the boosters instead of complaining. The only ways to stop them boosting is to change the actual game, which should be IW's job. Just play team games instead of FFA, I haven't seen any boosters in those games.

About the join feature, I think it's good in some cases, and really annoying in others. A little thing they could add is disabling the "join" button when a players state is set on "away". That way, if you are playing Gamebattles for example, just set it on away and you're good.

The other night me and a bunch of friends were messing around in some private matches, playing sniper only, mike myers etc. A few minutes into them, all these random people started joining our session and ruining it, coming in with an ACR while we were all sniping. Just another demonstration on how dumb people can get: If you join a private game and see that in the bottom left corner of the screen only snipers are showing up, wouldn't an at-least-a-little smart person understand that we are playing snipers only? Even with all of us screaming at him through our mics, he just continues. Jesus Christ.

I've not used the one man army perk but from what I hear it refills all you ammo and equipment each time you change?

Would an easier solution be to make it so it doesn't replenish your ammo and equipment that way boosters would have to take a hit on their kdr in order to get their ammo back?

My original post is talking how this is happening in Team Deathmatch, both regular and HC. It's also happening on MoshPit and Sabotage. I pretty much play em all and have seen a serious upswing in boosters (mainly nuke and AC130/Chopper boosters). The ONLY place I haven't seen it , yet, is mercenary team deathmatch. I rarely if ever play FFA. This isn't complaining, as much as it is identifying an issue that is rapidly growing and ruining games. g'head...enjoy your 5 minute matches that end in a nuke...I gurantee that in a few months time, if they don't do something, every tom, dick, and harry who like to cheat will be doing this...and the sucky part is it only take two guys to crap up a game.

I've seen a bunch in FFA, very fun taking them down especially considering that they are cheating and still fail to win. Seen the group in DOM R4NK. All fail and pretty stupid.

Anyone know if 3rd person Cage Match has filled up with headshot boosters?

People are STILL doing it in CoD4 at least around 60-70% of the time it's a booster.
