So the "game starting" countdown has reached 0 and it is on! Run! Where to go, what to do? Everyone has their favourite map starting point and what to do, right? What gets you that first kill(s) and your team in the lead?

I'd love to get some original ideas here, something unusual that might yield 3 or 4 kills before they catch on.

My fav: in Afghan, when spawning in the northern end of the map, run through the poppy fields and set up camp behind the shed looking into the Big Bunker with a thermal scope as the enemy are coming out. Lovely.

noobtube on certain S&D maps. people might hate it but at 500 points a kill and no respawns and a greater chance of winning you'd be silly not to try. Use with OMA for best results

Well i know two sniper spots on two different maps that yeild kills right at the start and are perfect for SnD. 1 is on rundown and the other is on highrise its really hard to explain but on highrise u have to aim though a metre square hole to get the enemy before they even break through the glass, on rundown its a simular sort of thing but only works on one side of the map but its perfect for 1/2 kills on the first 10 secs. Anyone can add me if they want me to show them.

yeah I use both of them. there is also one on invasion if your quick enough. I prefer to use the AT4 on rundown, aim at the car, if you hit it insta kill any snipers nearby

There's another one on Underpass as well (SnD), which can be used when spawning on both sides.

I really don't like playing a class with a launcher on Scrapyard TDM but if the starting position is right - for the opener, I like to make an exception.

When starting in the NE corner near the Offices, pull out the AT4 (or RPG for +style points) run west around the crane, and you'll usually find a multi-kill waiting just behind the north door of the loading bay - most of the time it's first blood.

you can use the nade launcher and get it just in the warehouse from left of office spawn. I think this had become a how to get a cheap first blood kill in S&D thread

Anyone have an actual interesting opening that you can score some points with? I tried the opening in Sub Base that ViS does here: http://www.modernwarfare2forum.com/m...erpowered.html, and it gets me kills every time. So thanks

If you're repeatedly killed by the same camper...maybe it's your rushing strategy (and not the game) that needs polished?

I love the highrise one Fenny said, it's collateral mania.

Another good one I've seen is when playing Domination on Estate and spawning on top of the hill behind the house, you can run over until you can see the C flag building and shoot an AT-4/RPG rocket into that building which is usually full of the ememy players capping their flag. There's a video on youtube showing a 1 shot 9 kills in a GW there.

Wasteland TDM, If you start on Alpha side, go to the MG and aim towards Charlie, wait 2 seconds and start firing, usually 2-3 kills sometimes more.

*If you use thermal with your Sniper rifle, you are a sissy.

On Highrise, I like to equip my Runner class into the tunnels underground, and rush up the set of stairs in front of their spawn, I usually catch about two of three moving to our spawn. Additionally you can bust the front window, rush out to the middle, and toss a nade to left helicopter area.

I always equip the Recon default class in Favela and go on a knifing rampage. Most of the time I can get my Predator Missile before the 3rd flag, sometimes the enemy's first flag is taken.

On Sub base in Domination, if you start as the Navy Seals, go to that two story office upstairs right in front of A, there you will have a pretty cheap spot but u get a bunch of kills because you have a lookout over B. I recommend a grenade launcher for max destruction! XD

If you are playing favela and get A spawn, run fast as you can to C then take right up onto their roof. Usually get at least 2 kills from the flag cappers which you get a perfect tube sight on

Mentally compile a list of possible paths to our spawn, and run to the one most likely to be occupied depending on the playstyle of opposite team. (do they take the less commonly used routes, do they beeline to an objective, do they like high ground, are they knifing.. etc) If it's the first game in a lobby, I'll just go to the center of the map.

Well, it IS the first thing I do! If I'm using an assault rifle or light machine gun, I'll take cover and wait - not particularly effective in getting the first blood, but it does stop ME from being the first blood. Most of the time, anyway.

If I'm shotgun rushing, I'll go straight towards them. Being the fastest player on the team helps get the first blood... and if I'm with a knifer, the extra range of the shotgun lets me get the kill. Yay! I quite like running into the storage building that houses Flag B in Domination. Buckshot, instant autopsy.

I'm horribly impatient, so the first 5 or so seconds of the match spent waiting are so boring and feel like they last an age. I need to do SOMETHING with that time.

Sometimes, if I'm not feeling particularly confident in my skills (There are days when I just can't seem to hit anything at all), I'll wait behind, let the carnage start, then quietly sneak behind an impenetrable box or something, kill... ok, yeah, I'll find a good camping spot and camp, until I'm happy I can get kills on the go.

I LOVE it when I get "first blood!" I've been getting those a lot recently, especially in Terminal.

And in Terminal, I can predict where people are going to be coming from. I pull out my silenced sniper rifle. I had one of my best matches with a staggering 13 kills and 0 deaths. ZERO. Nothing. Nada. Zit.

To top things off I get all kinds of post-game abuse!

Your clan was there. So, you know which one we play usually.

Its either straight up domination, TDM, Ground War Domination, or GW TDM.

I was drinking all day, frustrated in the last hour now - so I can't really remember. But 13-0 is HARD to come by.

However, I can play hardcore games and look good, I've been practicing that rifle for weeks so it should be natural.

If it was search that'd be a good score. as a TDM or groundwar there's better. any game where you go zero is a plus. got a new opening on quarry with the AT4 nets 2-3 kills for search
