You have to rack up the play-time during a prestige to gain access to certain weapons, so why is it a different philosophy to stretch this out over more than one prestige? you don't buy a game and expect it all on a plate, you expect to have to put in the hours to get the rewards.

Not a bad idea imo, but it would fail purely because the later killstreaks are too powerful, not because of some inbalance in how long people have played for.

This sounds to me like it would only further encourage boosting. Ya know they have HS challenges unless of coarse you've already boosted them..
