what they should've done was this.
make all the killstreak rewards...rewards for going prestige. example.

killstreaks 3 thru 6 are available to choose anyway you want from the beginning.

prestige 1 - unlock 5 extra class slots

prestige 2 - unlock harrier

prestige 3 - unlock attack helicopter

prestige 4 - unlock emergency airdrop

prestige 5 - unlock stealth bomber

prestige 6 - unlock pavelow

prestige 7 - unlock chopper gunner

prestige 8 - unlock ac130

prestige 9 - unlock emp

prestige 10 - unlock nuke



although it would've been kind of unfair to those who have loads of time to play... at least it would give me something "game changing" to look forward to.
make emp last the remainder of the game. actually cancel a nuke whether its been called in or not. and make it and actual usefull killstreak.

Bad idea in my opinion. If at all, killstreaks would be unlockable in a linear format, like the guns are. However that destroys any possibility to free customize killstreaks, which is what most people would like.

Other people wouldn't play the game long enough to unlock their favorite killstreaks on certain prestiges, and it would force people who never intend to prestige to prestige, if that makes sense.

In fact, they should have just kept the 3-5-7 killstreaks. The new ones just demand people to camp for them, but it comes with reward.

exactly my point. now there is no reason, or need to prestige. you want to make it GAME CHANGING. this would do that. and as you mentioned, kinda force people to prestige making them want to see what that killstreak is like. also prolonging the life of the game (which is what doing prestige over and over and over is about)

No thanks. Prestige shouldn't give you such advantages over other players as that would reward playtime, not just skill which is a bad principle for a game imo.

hell, if I hadnt done the 10th prestige hack I'd still be level 70 unprestiged... I have no interest in playing over and over and over with zero reward other than a new title every level

so i did the hack and went straight to 10. and for the people I encounter who believe prestige= skill, I show them I should be 11th prestige in that matter

I very much doubt that he will be banned. When this does 'come' to PS3 there will not be a person that sits looking through everybody's account to see if they have hacked. They will simply get their search engine to look through the database for stat files that have been majorly modified beyond what is possible on a PS3. A computer would not be able to tell the difference between the playerstats file of a hacker and a legit player if they were both at 10th prestige. IIRC this is similar to how VAC works except VAC also scans your computer for illegal programs.

i think that prestiging should yield more rewards, but i don't think they way you described it above would be the way to go.

basically i think it should offer more to the gamer, yet still not making the game unfair to new users.

I have no idea how you'd do this - probably why I am not a game developer.

I STILL think that customiseable camos is a good idea (to an extent) and that this ability to do this once, then twice etc etc could be a reward for prestiging. other than that and what they have already (class slots and emblems) I dunno what else they could do.

Stay on topic guys. This isn't a thread for arguing about the 10th Prestige Glitch, and if it means you have skill or not, this is a topic about making the 10th prestige more interesting and game changing.

I agree that there should definitely be more rewards when it comes to prestiging, but something that doesn't give an unfair advantage to players outside of actual leveling.

Downside

The only way they could make it work is if you the rewards you got were NOT game changing, custom camo paint or being able to choose what your player looks like.

The game would be completely new player unfriendly if those who could play 7+ hours a day had an advantage over those who could only play a few nights a week and at weekends. Why should I have to give up my job/social life etc just to compete on level terms. I'm all in favour of giving rewards for those who put the effort in as long as it doesn't affect those who just don't have the time to spare. It wouldn't bother me if some guy was running around fancy camo and a funny looking soldier as long as were evenly matched in load out.
Afterall surely those who play longer get the advantage of knowing the game better so should have an advantage in skill and game knowledge anyway, if not well then thats their problem and know amount of special unlocks will change that.
