Yea I created a topic in the quick questions section asking if you could choose kill streaks to use due to the airstrike then UAV problem.
I also remember the spelling fail of your original picture xD It would make the game so much better if you could choose, imagine calling an EMP then using a CG for the whole 40 seconds knowing no one could take it down unless they get a lucky shot from a rpg (highly unlikely)

Or just make it so when using OMA your ks rewards stay the same as the class you spawned with.

Bingo... see? not so far fetched if you really put thought into it. I think it would be great, somtimes I get put into a map without being able to switch KS s and could have benefited from changing to CG or vice versa.

Yeah but when does IW put time and thought into a game? Im just giving em a hard time I know they spent a long time on the game.
I like the ks idea but I think that ninjas setup would be too timely to use in the heat of battle. I think having one ks mapped to each dpad direction other than left, because that's already for noobtoobs, is the best.

This happens purely to give you feedback that you landed a headshot. It has nothing to do with being realistic and making a PING because the guy is wearing a helmet.There's nothing to change/fix here. They chose to use the PING noise because of the association with a helmet and a head.

I've said before that I like the ping sound. I just find it funny that you still get that ricochet zing sound even when you shoot a militia guy in the head and he's got no helmet. It's like there's a metal plate in his head or something.
For the record, I don't want it changed. It was just an observation.

Just as a minor addition, maybe the markers on the map for "A, B, C" in domination, or "kill" in capture the flag etc should dissapear when you aim down your sights, because i've found problems sometimes when i aim down an AR and can only see that marker...
sniper rifles are okay, because of the massive zoom, but any other gun, thoose markers can hide enemies. |

I've taken to standing right in front of where I want the crate to drop, and then looking straight down before throwing the marker. It bounces up like it was made of rubber (and looks like it would knock you out hitting you in the head), but it lands right at your feet.
I will only throw the marker away from me if there's a wide open area, like on Wasteland.

Don't know whether this' been mentioned but I really hate it when you find campers who are looking in the opposite direction because they haven't moved in a while, and then they shoot and kill you because they were looking in your direction the whole time...

Ok, there's been a few people comment on the C4 issue. I guess I can't stress this clearly enough. I'm not asking to throw the pouch like a frag. I'm asking to not have to fumble it at my feet.
Did anyone use C4 in COD4? It seems that you could throw it quite a bit farther (without it feeling like you're chucking a grenade). My gripe is when, for example, I go to throw C4 on the side of the crate next to flag B in Underpass. I stand about 7 feet off the crate and chuck the plastic. It lands less than halfway there. I mean, if it's going to be like that at least let the player pick it up and reposition it. You can pick up throwing knives, so you can definitely pick up equipment. (And no, you shouldn't be able to pick up claymores. Claymores are motion activated trip mines. It's already not very realistic that you and your teammates don't set them off - which is admittedly a good thing - but there's no guesswork on a claymore. If you set it improperly it's personal fail.)

Uh, yeah, I know WHY there's a ping sound. It's an audible signal for headshots. That's WHY I said it was ironic considering not every toon is wearing a metal helmet. IW could have used some other sound, or could have made your toon whisper "headshot" to himself much like other game sounds such as the toons on your team yelling out "Cover me, I'm reloading!"
And really, it's not THE one and only indicator of headshots. Every time you get a headshot, in the kill register it shows: [your gamertag] (crosshairs) [victim's gamertag]. If you don't get a headshot, the crosshairs are replaced by a small image of the gun or weapon you used. So, that in mind, it's not absolutely necessary to give a headshot a ricochet sound every time.

I like the headshot sound though. When you hear it its just gives you a great feeling. Would be interesting to see them make it into a poll.
