my opinion = BBC2. more realistic. mw2 is just a classic tht u just g2 buy. but it was dead 2 weeks after realese. BBC2 is something new. next gen.
it has
helicopters
tanks
vehicles
cool explosives
destruction 2.0.
MW2 hasn't changed anything from COD4. Just new maps, guns, killstreaks and maby the throwing knife and maby some perks. but what happened to graphics?

I personally cant speak for the campaign mode but they are two very different games from a multiplayer point of view.

BBC2 is a large scale, highly strategic FPS with vehicles and multiple roles (medics, engineers, etc), whereas MW2 is a tight, fast paced FPS better suited to smaller groups from what I can see.

I prefer MW2 because I prefer the style of gameplay it offers.

Comparing these two games as like-for-like and drawing a conclusion is like saying chess is better than checkers.

Yes, what I gathered from the demo was unlocks are dependant on points obtained by playing a certain class.

e.g play sniper a lot and you will unlock only sniper rifles and nothing else (except for a few weapons that can be used by all classes), play assault and you will unlock assault rifles, medic machine guns, engineer smgs.

I've only played the original BFBC so am basing my opinions on that.

I much prefer the online play from the COD titles, although I do think the destructive environments in BFBC are really good.

1. Teamwork and gamestyle
There is only one good tactic to get good scores in mw2: Run n Gun+spawn kill or Camp when playing maps like Rundown while defending. (I'm talking about demolition here)

BC2 you have alot of ways to go, stealth sniper in the woods, frontline guy pushing forward, medic that pops out of bush when needed and mechanic take care of enemy/allies vehicles etc.

In MW2 you don't need teamwork AT ALL compared to BC2
In BC2 everyone haves his own place in the team. There are 4 differend classes; (customizeable ofc)
Reacon - Spot enemys for your team
Assault - Frontline pusher, provide ammo for other team members with ammo resupply
Engineer - Take care of vehicles. Destroy enemy vehicles with RPGs and antitank mines, repair your teammates vehicles.
Medic - Revive fallen teammates and cure damaged.

+ theres alot weapons that require teamwork. IE Assault or medic may have tracer dart as secondary because of alot ammo. Assault shoots tracer and Engineer locks on with rpg and BOOM

2. Noobfrienly
MW2 is very very noobfriendly. No recoil, 95% of cases fullauto does the job. And if you can't even shoot, ofc noobtube gets some kills.
In BC2 you gotta burstfire to hit something. There is way more recoil than in MW2. Theres also bulletdrop over distance and also bullet fly time so sniping isnt so easy.

3. Realistic
You all know that MW2 is very far from realistic game thanks to all perks, akimbo shotties etc.
In BC2 it isnt 100% realistic but atleast 10 times more than MW2

4. Leveling
In MW2 you have tons of challenges and total of 770 levels to go. It's good thing and makes game live little longer.
Not totally sure about BC2 challenges but max level is 50 and as far as I know there isn't way to 'prestige'

5. Skills
In mw2 your very good after playing like 100hr and I got 3++ kdr after 10 first games.
In BC2 ive played alot and im still an average player. BC2; noobs fail hardly and battlefield gurus that have played battlefields thousands of hours kick ass 100-0
MW2; Noobs get alot of kills (comapred to bc2 ofc) and CoD gurus gets pwned by noobtubes

Afterall BC2 wins imo
I don't say mw2 is bad game. It's very funny and entertaining but still BC2 > MW2

Meh, TBH a lack of teamwork can be a good thing. Though it can be cool sometimes, I really don't want to have to work with all those little kids screaming their asses of whenever I enter a lobby.

Most of the time my friends and I have different schedules, or, they just don't feel like playing MW2 and go play something like GTA or Halo. So I rarely get to play with my friends. When I do, we play some intense CTF and work as a team.

It's more a thing which series you are a fan of really. I've never liked the Battlefield games, though I might give this one a shot considering how terrible MW2 cna be at times.

I looked up MAG on youtube and thought it was a cheap replication of MW2.

I know what you mean. My BF bought me MAG but I didn't like it. Team play wasn't there, and the games I played turned into a massive TDM with everyone running and gunning.

I might download a demo of BF2 to try.

I never liked Battlefield because it seemed that if you were not apart of a group and had good tactics, the game was not fun to play. It seems more tactical than any other FPS I've played, and I find the gameplay to be slow and long. This is primarily due to all the running you have to do. I also did not find the combat very enticing, it in itself seems slow. I guess the game is TOO realistic for my taste, I've always been a fan of COD, Halo and even MOH than BF games.

You can spawn to your squad mates if you want. If you want to spawn to base, theres usually some sort of vehicles to use.

BFBC2 is less accesible to casual PC gamers because of the higher system requirements to run it... so I can't run it.

Console gamers don't have that problem I guess.

And thats the EXACT reason I gave up on most PC gaming. I still do WoW and Guild Wars on PC, and maybe a couple of others, but thats about it. They've had some really good looking games that I've had to pass on.

Yeah I know that. I just meant in some cases I find myself running a ton.

I think BF is a great series, but for me there are too many variables such as vehicles to worry about. I like the straight up shoot 'em up type games. I played Halo, which has vehicles, but it is way less tactical.

Battlefield just feels more clunky to me than Call of Duty. The controls aren't as smooth. Also, the knife is absolute shit, especially in Bad Company 1. Press Y to knife? No thanks.

I just want to be able to go prone...
