big maps and longer (much) game duration.

seems more realistic, harder to top someone

Blood spray much cooler.

can blast a hole in a room at the top of a building to set up a camping nest.

it just feels right. nothing arcadey about it... sweet as honey yo.. you guys gotta try it!!

jamesooseven I've heard nothing but great stuff about the game. Does it have SP mode, and is it soley a deathmatch scenario or are there multiple game modes like MW2?

There is an SP mode and there are multiple game modes, but not as many as there are in MW2. They include Rush, Conquest, Squad Deathmatch, Squad Rush.

If there isnt hardcore mode than I dont care.

I got the demo and thought it was a good game but I cant stand games that dont play like HC in COD. Killzone was a cool as game but having to shoot so much is BS, same as flashpoint and MAG.
And the sniping is gay on BFBC. Only 1 good rifle and its the last one you get.

And there is enough threads on BF2 so just give it a rest already. We can all download the demo and try it, all by ourselves. No need to come here to give us the 10th opinion on how BF2 is better. I could tell in 2 minutes that it was a great competitor for MW2 and that it had a lot to offer. Didnt think Id see so many promoting it in a forum of the competition. They have their own promotions dude.

is the BC2 demo still operational?

i've been trying for 3 days to login to EA to fire up the BC2 demo,
but all i keep getting is "unable to connect to EA servers"...

tried to pose the question on the EA BC2 forums, but their forums are
about as responsive as our MW2 lag-free servers...

is this a problem with EA servers, my compy, or is the demo no longer
operational?

Dont know why im sticking up for a game (mw2) everyone hates lol.

I had a game or two on the demo where I would be right in the spawn point killing them faster than I could manage. They were everywhere but all easy targets. I ended the game with a big score.

I agree that BFBC2 is a good game but it's not worlds better than MW2 ... just fresher since it just came out. It left me with a bad taste after the first game; I spawn and see two guys with green tags (friendlies) and one guy without and I think, they got this guy I'm going to move on. Then when I come back as a tank was coming at our squad the same three guys are standing there throwing these boxes at one another and shooting each other enough not to die ... they were boosting I suppose. Luckily that was the only time I saw this and the game really grew on me.

One thing I didn't like at first was the controls felt a little sloppy, I likened it to playing MW2 with a really high fever or playing a FPS as a sack boy (little bigplanet if you're not familiar) ... but once I got use to it it really is fun.

It came out on the 16th and definitely the game is a must buy and a great game for a first time PS3 user. It shows off the PS3's graphical capabilities but beyond that it has great gameplay. my friend is about to pick up a PS3 and this will be the first game he'll play on it. Just look at what IGN and Gametrailers has to say:

i bought bc2 yesturday and its already up on ebay. movement is horrible, the maps are huge and everyone seems to camp or snipe.

I couldn't stand it the first few times but got used to it fairly quickly. The movement doesn't bother me anymore ... mainly just the sound. Inside structures has this dreamy, weird echo (and there's this god awful horn that goes off for seemingly hours when you are losing). It's hard to listen for footsteps with the tanks, gun fire, grenades, choppers and sirens.

That is in Conquest mode when you are about to lose (10 or less reinforcements) and yes, it is awful. Apparently it has been patched on PC and now only sounds off twice. I still get it on PS3, but hopefully we will get the patch soon too

BFBC2 is a damn good game, I like it. I mean there is no such thing as a realistic video game, cause I mean that's what separates the game from reality.. But when it comes to being more realistic BC2 wins that category. I mean I love MW2 don't get me wrong.. It's great, but everyone knows it's a little too camper and noob friendly if you know what I mean.

Sooo lately I have been playing CoD4... After playing the hell out of MW2 since it was released and then playing some good ole CoD4, I swear I havn't had that much fun in a lonnnggg time.. So anyway CoD4, MW2, and BC2 are all great...

I do have a question though.. Anyone played MAG? I've heard it's good, but I never got any details about it.
