I was playing TDM in Scrapyard last night, and I just love to plant claymores on the obvious routes. I got the winning kill with a claymore and the guys said "What the fuck... Who's the idiot using claymores in scrapyard." To which I replied, "Me! I guess is sucks to be you sweetie."

Frig if ya gonna run the same route eeeeeeevery time, I'm gonna plant something .

I don't get why people get so pissed about using claymores. They get mad in S&D, really mad. I think it's a "I'm an idiot for not seeing the claymore, therefor I will project my idiocy on the person using them" situation. Claymores are IMO, the greatest equipment choice. If placed correctly they pretty much guarantee a kill, OMA or Scav let you place 2. They warn you of people flanking your position or attempting to infiltrate your little camping spot. They simply kick ass.

Claymores in SND are pretty redic, especially on a rush class where you can plant them in spots people didn't know you could have even gotten too yet.

Is there a good way to use claymores on a run and gun class? I don't really sit in one place for more than 20 seconds or so, so I'm gone by the time anyone would get near my claymores. I'll go get 3 other kills and then die before it goes off.

Depending on what game mode you played. Say you play Search and Destroy, you run and gun the first 3 people, then the rest are camping then you have some time to plant claymores etc, maybe plant one on the entrances to Bomb A or B, or a route that you will expect them to take to get to the Bomb to plant or defuse.

It doesn't matter which class or game mode you are playing... claymores are meant to "ambush" people. Even if you run-n-gun, just place it in a strategic place, go on killing, eventually, CLICK-BOOOM.

I get annoyed being killed by claymores. There isn't skill in using them like a gun; you don't aim. There is skill in finding an appropriate place to put them. I rarely use them because I lack that skill, so they're mostly just a waste for me to have in a class.

But, whatever. I'm a ninja-noob, shotgun noob, a marathon noob, a knife noob (despite the fact that the majority of the kills I make with "knife classes" tends to come from the SMG I use), a grenade noob, a semtex noob, an M21 noob (I don't spam... mostly), a TAR-21 noob, an AK47-noob, a C4-noob, a riot shield noob, a throwing knife noob, a P90 noob, a machine gun noob, a FAL (!?) noob, a FAMAS/M16 noob, an M93 noob, a claymore noob, camping noob, run-and-gun noob, sniping noob, omalol noob, grenade launcher noob, danger close noob, stopping power noob, AC-130 noob, akimbo noob, ACR-noob, Desert Eagle (wtfroflbbq?!?!) noob...

There are no things I can say are truly broken (even the glockimbos, though I do find those annoying due to the hugetacular range they get). Saying someone is noob for using a claymore in a good place is like saying they're noob for using an SMG because it's good in close range.

There are no noobs, only people you think are noobs, but are better than you in a way you would not like to admit!

I was playing on Estate and killed one guy 6 times with claymores in a life just becasue he came back looking for me everytime. He eventually found me but i already had a predator missile and harriers coming in.
