Default Map Ideas

My roomate and i had thought up some intresting ideas for maps that we'd love to see.

The first would be a map where you're forced to use night vision googles to see anything. Maybe not for the whole map but maybe theres a bunker that gets zero light, or like a dark room for photography in an abandoned school that people could go in but have to use night vision or the're screwed.

The second would be just one massive building with about 6 or 7 levels to it. One team starts at the bottom and one at the top. The one down side to this idea is you wouldn't be able use predator missles or airstrikes unless someone happens to be on the roof.

The third idea is not so much a map but a map feature. IW should make a map pack in which the maps at certain dates change. Something like taking a map and adding a new section to it or adding a ladder for new accessability.

I also think in MW3 they should allow you to create classes for each map and have killstreak loadouts for each class.

But that was the basic idea that we had regarding maps and such.

I have also wanted this for a while now, I discussed it in one thread here somewhere.

Create a class with it's specific kill streaks is a dream of mine.

I would like to see some maps have dynamic weather... Like, for example, they could release patches every season to make it snow during the winter, rain during the spring, clear up and shine sun in the summer, overcast in the fall. I like your idea about the 6-7 story building too, OzCueball!

or, have the map be whatever time of day it happens to be when you are playing.

Imagine playing at midnight on Wasteland (with a full moon, don't want it too dark)

A jungle map would nice with swamps, and being able to climb vines. Use ancient ruins for cover and such. A map with a defensive trench system and bunkers something like a beach assault.

The weather changes would be pretty sweet. Have like a massive snow storm or hurricane!

The time change idea would be awesome! Playing at midnight would be really fricken cool. Although, i only get the chane to play at night so i'd be midnight all the time. I'm sure they could do it and make it work for everyone.

I had the same thought as soon as I unlocked custom classes. I still don't know why IW haven't implemented this idea from the start. I swap my first KS reward between UAV and Air Drop, depending on the game mode. I use UAV if I'm playing S&D, and Air Drop if I'm playing TDM, but sometimes I forget to change it when I change game mode.

Being able to save different KS rewards for each class would be awesome...

I'd like to see a map thats a giant maze (1 floor, bunch of turns, everything is blockish) but the layout changes every time so you don't know if there is going to be a long hallway, or a bunch of short ones.

I like the 6-7 building idea, but it seems like the top would have too much of an advantage. People could also camp with noob toobs really easily.

the multiple story building would be awesome. maybe something like a construction site. I got the building the "The Dark Knight" in mind. with all the scaffolding and plastic.

They could turn one of the single player suburban street missions into a good map too.

(CODMW2 is the first and only FPS game I've played, so any resemblance to previous COD maps or other game maps is purely coincidental)

-A car factory, with lots of trenches, catwalks, control booth areas, cars along the line in various stages of assembly. The map would have minimal outdoor areas.

-A farm map, with a barn, tractors, outbuildings, farm house, cornfield, etc

-Maybe something like a Burger Town map, based on a suburban American setting

I like the farm idea. Maybe have a few cattle walking around. Thats what i call moving cover.

The Burger Town map from the single player would be a good MP map I think.

The wide open spaces, obviously add some vehicles for cover. Perhaps have a bomb hole in the ground giving access to a sewage system, with a few more entrances and exits so its not completely open.

They should make a map out of the castle in the game. THat whole part reminded me of the movie The Rock and i'd love to have that as a big map to play.

A rectangular map with a building at each end, the normal urban environment on ground level but in terms of the buildings themselves:

You spawn on the 2nd floor of the building and there's only a way down, no way up (ie you drop off the ledge to get down). This floor has plenty of cover but all of it is penetrable to varying degrees. The idea here would be for snipers to have it out across the map, or take eachother out while they are picking off people or covering their teammates below.
Sort of like Crossfire from COD4 but with much more room for the snipers - a map that seems to promote both love and hate in equal measure depending on who you ask......

A map like Wet Work from CoD4 but instead of the upper deck of the ship have it take place in the inner parts of the ship like what you see during the first real mission.

nice idea. It would be particularly cool if the air support called in could actually be seen taking off around you before swooping back in to bomb it's own ship. Mightily surreal but it would look great.
