The only maps I hate for the design, and no other reason are:
Scrapyard - Way too small. Can't they make it a few times bigger? Estate - I rage quit out of this map after I run up the hill, die, spawn at the very bottom, only to run back to the top and die. Derail - It's like a third of this map doesn't exist. You could run a lap around this map and get the Marathon embem. How bout we chop off a third of this map and stick it on Scrapyard. Rust - Why? WHY!?! Highrise - It's just a long piece of elevated land with tanks in the middle. Wasteland - SRSLY? Make the cave a few times bigger with walls in them (not paper walls either, rock walls). Or make another cave. With more entrances. And more buildings. With roofs. Not saying I dislike playing these maps. Wasteland is close to my favourite. I usually only skip what I don't feel like playing. |

Wasteland due to the fact that there just isn't enough decent cover/routes. Wasteland has to be the most unbalanced map in the game catering mostly to snipers.

On tdm I tend to use a rush class on wasteland and just flank the enemy. Once I ended up getting the first 12 of my teams kills cause the enemy team just so happened to all be heading in the same direction from their spawn and I just so happened to come from the direction that they weren't looking. Twice in a row. It was pretty funny.

Carnival is the only map I really object to, the design is way too busy on the eye to notice campers.
I doubt it's possible to completely balance a map, if I'm on the good side I have a laugh, if I'm on the bad I try and improve my game or rage quit if it's a bad spawn trap, no big deal. |

Derail, too big and holds one choke point in the middle. It can only go one way..
I don't like Quarry but it's a very balanced map as far as indoors / outdoors goes.. |

![]() 1) Carnival - Too much crap everywhere, campers paradise, cant distinguish players from scenery. 2) Derail - Too big, spend most of the time running around trying to find a kill, get shot from the side, spawn at the far side of the map, ragequit. 3) Fuel - The rock, although it is nice raping people who exploit this glitch with FMJ. 4) Not to keen on Rundown either, if you venture anywhere close to the centre of the map your'e watchin a killcam before you know it. All the others are decent maps IMO, Rust is mental but if your'e lucky you can have a good run. |
