The last time, I seem to get no kills with my harrier. I just got 2 with the airstrike, but the harrier itself did't get any (demolition Terminal > Offense). Then I got killed by a camper, just before I should get my chopper and EMP.

Last map (domination Karachi), the harrier only made 2 kills. I know there are lots of buildings but still, I seem to get this every map.

What is the best way to get many kills with harriers?

1) hope people aren't using cold blooded.
2) put the airstrike near high traffic areas, bomb sites, high traffic areas on the way to bomb sites or spawn points, try to get as much open area as possible, aistrikes on buildings are useless

Terminal itself isn't a great map for harriers. Too many places to hide under IMO.

The best thing, especially during demolition, is to place them over/near the enemy spawn where there is a lot of traffic.

I always place it on their spawn, or the bomb sites. In terminal, I put it on top of the "roof" (with that fueltank). So it could shoot to A, to the plane and to their spawn.

I pretty often see other people getting so much kills, and when I deploy it the same map, I won't get any.

on maps liek highrise, just chuck it in the middle as the harrier can shoot anywhere

TBH, my harriers just get placed somewhere near the middle of the map. Unless I see them all surrounding a bottleneck, or there all grouped together outside somewhere

the harrier and the attack heli have the same problem:both of them may get u many kills or may fly over the map as long as they stay without shooting anyone...

chucking the harriers in the middle of an open area is the best idea, as it can shoot people easier.

But you shouldn't just "chuck" your harriers anywhere, be tactical about where you place it. I've gotten an AC130 from the airstrike alone.

I've recently switched to the chopper, yeah, its not as good, but its fire and forget.

Harrier is pretty much fire and forget as well; the airstrike only takes a second or two to place...

Yeah, but I freak out when I get it and run around flailing my arms looking for a safe place to open the laptop. So, I usually get shot.

How many tactics are there when placing a Harrier? Your primary goal is to gain kills. So you put it over a crowded area/an area with high traffic. And 4 kills with an airstrike is great, but I bet you did it on an open map like Wasteland, or if you were lucky, it may have been done on Karachi or Invasion.

There aren't many "tactics" per se, but saying "chucking" sounds like its one of those people who opens the laptop and ends up bombing a building. Putting it in what seems like a high traffic area is a great idea, but sometimes you have to be aware of where the enemy is concentrated, because if they're all over in one area its better to bomb there than the usual high traffic area.
I got 4 and 5 kills, 4 on Skidrow, 5 on Highrise.

I try and stick it where I think the enemy are spawning. Obviously something you learn from playing a lot.

wat i meant was if there is red dots, watch to see if your teammate dies. if he does, put a harrier there. if there are no red dots, put it in an open area as it is most beneficial

well obviously a large amount of red dots in an area = harrier placement... usually you can get a dot or two when you're placing your harrier, so you know a good spot to put it.

If we have a UAV I will place it over the dots to get kills with the airstrike. But if there are no red dots visible on the map and I am playing domination i will put it over the spawn point we have that is furthest forward. I dunno if that makes sense.. Anyway for example if we have A and B I will put it on B if we only have A i will put it just in front of A, providing it wont kill me. This should mean once the harriers nose is pointing towards the enemy it wont have to turn again. This should lead to the succession of quick bursts from the harrier that you often see in matches. This is what I do anyway and it seems to work

Ok, so yesterday I tried to call in the Harrier more in the middle of the map. Haven't seen much difference yet. I'll keep trying.

If a UAV aint up, I will generally aim for where my team mates arent, and roughly pick the higher traffic areas / spawn spots from that.
