Alright, I've been playing my PS3 for a while, but noticed some really strange things. This mostly happens with Modern Warfare 2, but happens with other games online such as MAG, Motorstorm, and Bad Company 2.

I highly believe that my Playstation is cursed, here is why:

1) Killstreaks tend to follow me, here's an example, the predator missile goes for me almost every time, you might think "hey, you just think it does", but that's not the case. I did a test with another friend on another Playstation, out of 100 missiles, 21 went for him. Next was me, out of the 100 random missiles, 84 went for me....weird much? Harriers also tend to wait for my location, and sniff me out. I can be in a building for 15 seconds, and it will just be pointed at me. Even a few times, it killed me, went to my location, and killed me again.

2) There is something really off of my timing. Have you ever had a standoff with a player? One was hiding while the other knew where the other was, but neither moved and just looked at their positions, this happens a lot. I try to get them out by throwing a grenade or flash-bang, but right when I pull the grenade back and about to throw, they run out of hiding and shoot me, just when I can't shoot back.

3) Speaking about grenades, they tend to like me. Random grenade throwing is one of my leading causes of death (next to predator missiles), and to test this, me and my friends, about 3 other people so it was 4 people in a free for all, got a game going, and all we did was trow random grenades and Semtex, I got killed 21 times in that 15 minute game, while everyone else averaged around 8-10 random grenade deaths.

These things seem really coincidental, but you they happen at an extremely substantial rate, you start to think otherwise, you start to think its Cursed, or really bad luck.

I absolutely hate trying to time your grenades, getting killed while the pin was being pulled, Being 1 kill away from a nuke, then getting an afterlife kill with that grenade
....

Spawn.
Pred Missile Death.
Respawn right under a harrier. Die.
Respawn, and under 2 seconds later, die again.
Respawn, OH CRAP A PAVELOW

Predators always go for me. For no reason too. There could be a group of 4 people like 30 meters ahead of me and the missle will squeeze through the crack of a building I'm in and kill me. Serioulsy...

And sometimes number two. I'll be having a standoff and reload, only to get kill by them popping out. Once I tried reloading right when they went into cover but they still got me. Eh... I just rage then move on.

Once my friends were in a group of 3 outside capping B in terminal. I was in the plane inbetween the loading area and the actual plane where everyone knifes eachother and puts down claymores. Of course, theres a tiny slit up there and i get killed by the pred, not my 3 friends who are in a group

i have to say that your bad luck is really just lack of being in the right place some tricks you can use to stay alive.

1. with the predator missiles if you find a 90 degree angled corner and run back and forth around it as the predator is coming down 30-40% of the time you can get on the other side of the corner that the predator is coming down on and live.

2. The harrier only shoots targets that are in front of it you can see the harrier turning around when it is choosing its target, since you know which direction it is going to be shooting in you can tell when it is locking onto you, so you should be able to avoid death from harrier.

3. On every map there are certain high traffic areas where random nades are thrown at a higher rate, to survive avoid these areas and move around a'lot if your camping camp an area instead of 1 spot so you dont get killed by revenge nades.

i don't know if any of this helped maybe you already use some of these strategies lol just figure id try and spread my "vanilla luck"

I've started to just run into any building when you see that predator on the map, they still go for me, but don't kill me as often

why leave a building when the harrier is out? lol just sit it out for 30 seconds if nobody is gonna shoot it down, also the harrier dosnt turn that fast you have lots of pre warning. Also with the predator thing attempting to run inside is suicide unless you can make it 100% for sure because everyone around you tries to run inside as well and you'll end up running for a door with 1 or 2 of your buddies going for the same spot.

I'm not saying these work for everyone but i hardly ever die to predator missiles and rarely die to harriers/random nades.

I have a magnet in my arse, so if there's a predator missile, it will hit me.

Unless there happens to be someone who has a stronger magnet, like a friend of mine, who seems to get hit with the majority of predator missiles even if he wasn't the most obvious target.

lol, maybe that's my problem, i always say they can smell me.

How come it doesn't work the other way around though. When I have a pred, I see somebody running for a building and unless I hit the "Fire faster button" they always manage to get in said building. If i do press the fire faster button, I ALWAYS hit some kind of scenery. Or a thin beam above their head, which saves them.

when i use the predator i always hit the boost as soon as it shows up and find a target on the way down otherwise they have to much time to spread out/run inside. Sometimes of course you'll miss cause your not aimed at the right spot but i have a high success rate of getting a double kill with every predator.

I glad I'm not the only one with the Predator curse. I kept telling myself that it must just be my perception, now I'm not so sure. The worst one is where some dimwit is panicking and not going for anyone in particular, the missile heads straight down towards empty ground, oh wait I'm respawning right underneath.....

I have the same thing!! So i started playing SnD, where there are a lot less predators.

Just last night i managed to avoid one, quite craftily if i do say so myself. I was the last man alive on my team, SnD on Underpass...you know how there's that bridge going over to the A flag? well, i ran back and forth under that, causing the predator to blow up above me.

Thats the first real time that ive been able to avoid a pred. that has targeted me.
