Default Reaction Time and Weapons

Ever since I started playing this game I've been wondering about something. Lots of times, you will run into someone at close range and try to kill them as fast as you can. Now, we know about the weapon stats like RPM and damage, but is there any way to measure the reaction time of a weapon? Like, which weapon is the fastest to kill a target in this situation, measured from noticing the target to him dropping?

I'm inclined to go for the SPAS here, but what I've noticed is that after firing any shotgun, there seems to be some sort of delay between hearing the shot and impact. In some cases this has gotten me killed even though I had fired the gun before I was dead. If this delay is real, shotguns might not be the most effective.

Some weapons, like Akimbo G18's, kill very quickly, but need to be aimed at the target, which takes time. Shotguns have a large spread which makes it easier to hit without spending time to aim. Then there's the grenade launcher attachment which needs to travel a certain distance before exploding. Knifing is very fast but can only be done in melee. So which is fastest?

You're not onto anything here. The only factors that you need to factor in, assuming 100% accuracy, are rate of fire and damage per bullet. There's no such thing as a delay between clicking an the shot landing. Any perceived client-side delay is down to lag.

This.

Basically, the SPAS has a TTK (time-to-kill) of 0. This means, assuming that enough bullets hit, the enemy will die as soon as you press the fire button.

As ViS said, anything different is due to lag. Which in this game there is plenty of.

ummm actually there is always a reaction time that can really only be cut down by upping your sensitivity, most good players will play with a sensitivty of 7 and above i know a few who play on 10 but for me that truelly is insane.

it does take some getting used to cause at first you'll be running all over the shop and your aim will suck but with anything there is a learning curve.

at level 7 and above the only time you should die is doing something stupid or not checking that corner that you know people camp in.

i love spinning round whilst getting shot and taking you out.

This has nothing to do with the question. The op was asking if there was any sort of delay between guns, which there isn't. You press the trigger and the gun fires. You are talking about personal reaction times which is something completely different.
