What happens if you get this but not the first? do we end up with 3 segmented groups of people who play the same game but cant play each other?

If you join a lobby/party with a guy who has the stimulus, and you dont, he will not be able to play the stimulus. A red text appears saying: Kll131 does not have stimulus, stimulus options disabled or something.

5 new maps, pretty cool. Means I'll have spent a total of $90 on this game, which is a little ridiculous. But considering it's the only reason I got a 360...

Unreal to announce it so soon, hardly had time to get used to the current DLC. It's like they're not even hiding the fact they want to milk fans for all they're worth. I understand that like any company they have to make money but I think everyone's agreed that they've made a fortune for this already and can probably lay off the hard sell for a while.
Unless of course I'm jumping the gun and it's going to be free of charge.....

That's a little extreme. $15 is that much when you think about it, but at the same time it makes me feel like a chum. I hope it's a little cheaper, but new maps are always fun.

I mean, you spend over $15 on a case of beer, and that lasts you a couple of nights. Should be able to get a couple of month's worth of enjoyment from these.

If it is, then the PC version of the game in total costs £40 + £11 + 11 = £62. And for those who don't buy the Stimulus package (and next, this "resurgence" package), get ready to be separated from the other players who did buy the DLC! Ergo, even less available hosts that don't suck!

Tell me, are these maps being created on the game's initial budget, or not?

They didn't even announce the price yet guys, and I highly doubt it's going to be 15 dollars considering all the backlash against the Stimulus Package's price and all the money it made.

Also, when were more map packs considered a bad thing (as long as the maps are not complete crap)?

It's funny to see how they are acknowledging the clusterfuck of a game with things like
Stimulus and Resurgence.
The fact it has come so soon is really just showing what a weak position they're in.

Your right all they mentioned was "There's no mention of price, but Resurgence offers the same amount of content as the Stimulus Pack, which cost 1200 Microsoft Points" So lets pray that they don't try to milk us for every penny we have. Also why don't you just File share ( I think that's what its called) I personally don't know how to do it but I let my friend do it with the new map pack.

That (the bit about budget & total cost) is a very interesting thought. DLC is an absolutely ingenius idea from the shareholders' point of view!!! No doubt it does extend the shelf life of a game - mods or no mods - and keep people interested in your product portfolio, but just think about it for a second, it's fantastic:

Game sells for £30 with 20 maps. Remove 3 maps before release.
Game sells for £30 still but only has 17 maps.
Wait 3 months and sell those 3 maps that you didn't include for 33% of the original game price.
Wait 2 months. Do it all again.

If that concept doesn't fufil vis'

1) blah blah blah
2) ...
3) EPIC PROFIT

then I don't know what does...

A lot of their employees/designers have left to go to Respawn after the IW execs were fired.
There are going to be few people who will rush out and buy MW3 without hearing good things about it.
COD/MW isn't going to remain the top FPS easily, while being a commercial successm the game is flawed and people can generally see that. This gives other titles like the new Medal of Honour and BFBC2 as well as Respawns offering when they get around to it a foot in the door of the major FPS market.

They will probably charge as much money as they can, seeing that MW as we know it is probably gone. That might do them more harm than good, if they want to keep a share of this market. They better take care of their customers.

here we go more people morally offended because their getting charged for a map pack, IMO dont buy it then im gonna buy it im gonna buy it because its only 15 bucks, a pack of ciggs in canada is already at least 10 bucks. Not the worst way ive ever spent a little bit of money.

I find it just so ridiculous that people get so morally outraged about a map pack its just a map pack its for those who want it. Its 15 bucks definitely less over priced then things that actually matter like beer or gas, even a meal at mcdonalds is like 8 bucks these days. IMO get over yourselves your not "to good" to spend a little bit of money on some dlc.
