This gun is so overpowered and over used it's ridiculous. They nerfed the 1887's now it's time to nerf the ump.. More range, power and bullet penatration than an AR? Cumon please. MP40 on WAW was bad enough.

I sincerely do not understand.

Looking at the stats of the UMP45, I can find no reason at all for it to be overpowered. It has high recoil (not for an SMG but in general), low rate of fire, and in return it has high damage. But it does not kill as fast as the MP5K or PP2000 in close range, and has too much recoil to excel at long range (by excel I mean kill faster than normal). So what's the big deal? I don't get it

Use one with a silencer. Don't need Stopping Power and it's affective as an AR over range.

I understand why people say about it being OP, but if it had the same DMG as the other SMGs it would be useless with such a slow ROF, it's not as good as other SMGs at close range, and not as accurate as most ARs over long range, I think it's ok the way it is.

Tar is better than the ump IMO. But i still use the Ump because of the way it's damage works, i feel it's the gun for my rushing class because it works good at all ranges. Not the best at all ranges, but it is a very good hybrid (if you can call it that) imo.

However, if you go up against more than one guy, your dead. You cannot commando both, the ump has medicore dps(?) and hip fire spray is not that great due to the rof.

In domination i prefer the mp5k with extended mags, it has higher recoil but it's still easy to handle, and spraying with steady aim is good imo.

Search and destroy i prefer Ump, since you rarely meet more than one at a time.

Edit: i would like to see char post on this thread, if i remeber correctly he likes the ump.

The reality of this gun is that it fires a huge cartridge. with a lot of stopping power. And it is a high recoil and low rate of fire weapon.

the only problem with this gun is it's range. In reality is has a lower effective range than an mp5k.

The UMP is good and versatile, but not overpowered. It can kill at range, but it doesn't excel at it. It's not good close range without stopping power. It's got advantages and disadvantages, just like every gun.

Nope, the shields are 50/50...some complain about bullets being completely useless, and riot shielders complain about dying from having the shield lag-knifed

Is this thread for real? people complain about the UMP45 being OP was anybody complaining about the MP5 in cod4? The MP5 was so common it was straight rediculus, theres threads about famas, acr, scar, ump, ebr, tar, spas, aa-12, all shotguns, and still none are as common as the Mp5 was in cod4.

Can you imagine how OP the ump would be with a thermal ZOMG 2 things that people cry about the most but together imma go try it out maybe ill post a vid of some pro thermal ump kills.

I don't like people that use the UMP, i think its boring and cliche, try something different once in a while. Doesn't mean I'm saying it's OP, just annoying to see everyone using it.
