Quickscoping in high-level play is simply the result of a mistake, said mistake being not having your secondary out. It's a one-shot kill, sure. However, the sighting time and lack of room for error are just unforgivable for a player to use quickscoping as a primary means of close-range defense. As an offensive tool, it just sucks balls period.

quick scoping without ADS is luck. so is no scoping
but the quick ADS when shoot as soon as see enemy isn't as much luck, sometimes it takes skill, but mostly you see the people no-scoping or other no-skill one i said above

Since i'm so accurate with quickscopes, I have that extra ability to use the sniper in professional games at a wider variety of ranges, thus making me a much better sniper than yourself.

Besides, ProSim (which is the only pro console ladder I really recognise), has many quickscopers and profficient snipers due to the one shot kill they are given. Quickscoping takes far more skill than your ego allows it and definitely has a place in professional gaming.
No doubt quick scoping requires some skill, especially when you compare it to those who can only "hard scope" but thats still a small amount of skill compared to the large amount of luck it takes to be successful at quick scoping. If you are sniping in a "pro" environment it is definitely nice to be able to have that extra chance at close range to "quick scope" someone, but it is by no means something that requires a great amount of skill over a great amount of luck.

Quick scoping is fun but it really should never be considered something that requires more skill then luck.

I can't even begin to understand the mentality of the majority of people on this forum who believe that quickscoping is primarily luck.

The only conclusion I can come to is either:
A) You tried, sucked at it, didn't bother to keep at it and labelled it as lucky because you couldn't do it.
B) You play on PC, where quickscoping is much harder though still a skill which you can become consistent at.

Unless you have put in a decent amount of playtime (maybe around 24 hours worth) of absolutely nothing but quickscoping, your statement that it is based on luck has no worth at all.

ViS... I love you

Quick scoping is a pain in the ass, sure lets play SnD and watch the last guy alive miss about 5 shots on a guy to then get owned, so annoying especially when the other player has no idea that they are there until they miss 5 times.

Likewise i fail to see how you could even begin to think that your quick scoping "skillz" are anything more then a series of lucky shots strung together

1 thing that it seems we are agreeing on is quick scoping has no place anywhere other then pubs against randoms, and 1v1 quick scoping dosnt count.
