Sometimes when i quickscope, the crosshair is directly on the target, however when i fire the bullet just dissapears. Does anybody ever get this?

everybody gets this, its the shit connections that having a host does for you. That's why you can get hitmarkers when you shoot a guy in the head sometimes.

that's pretty much it

are you standing completely still, the bullet accuracy is different if you are scoped and still moving even slightly.

for your quickscopes to be accurate you need to stop completely even if its just the split second that you shoot.

for tips i suggest just typing in quickscope tutorials in to youtube, there is plenty of in depth tutorials there.

Its because quick scoping its for noobs its 80% luck, people only attempt to do it because it looks cool, really when you "quick scope" its barely better then a hip fire you gotta be scoped for longer then that for your bullet to actually go where the cross hair is.

can you guys hear that? i think its the sound of a thousand quick scopers raging at me right now lol.

haha, i gave up quickscoping because:
1. I sucked
2. It's lots of anger and little reward
3. being l33t isn't as fun as it seems.

i wanted to be different, and I chose to use an LMG because everybody's running an AR or SMG these days. or sniper of course

Yeah i use a Wa . . . so it's damn near impossible. I don't even think I've tried. Guess i just wonder why i'd limit myself to half a second with the scope when it's free to look through all day long.

No, that really isn't the case. Moving or not, your shots will hit exactly where the center of the crosshair is. Though the aim does "bounce" while moving, making it tricky.

Also note that the bullet will only do this if the crosshair is on the screen at the time; once your peripheral vision and guns disappears, fire!

Also yes, the connections in this game are garbage.

Its luck and using the autoaim on consoles. Do it on PC and you'd be a god. Keep doing it on console and you're just a sheep.

I think you may be referring to a problem I sometimes have. Especially when coming into CQC, it is very easy to react and fire a fraction of a second too early. This means your shot has the same spread as a no-scope and doesn't go in the centre of the cross-hairs.

Quickscoping isn't luck, no-scoping isn't luck, anyone who thinks otherwise has it wrong.

@CallMeVanilla: I added you and offered to do a 1v1 with me quickscoping, but as I recall you never bothered to respond properly. I'm perfectly happy to give you a game man, but I won't be making a GB account just for you; it would be a friendly game but you can record if you want.

No-scoping IS luck. Fact.

Quick-scoping is arguable, however.

Any evidence for such a bold statement?

I have mine in the youtube montage community and my own ability to hit long distance no-scopes at will. Id say it probably takes me 5 shots maximum to hit one, and often i get it in one or two.

Any evidence for your bold statement?

In MW2, hip fire is completely random. There is no known way to consistently make the bullet go in the exact centre of the cross-hairs. I'm pretty sure it was on DenKirson's blog at one point. I am not certain whether it still is. I'm sure someone else will back me up.

When you quickscope and move, there is a slight chance your bullet is not going to go where it should go. There is this video about it on youtube.
YouTube - MW2 and Cod Quick scope Tutorial

Haha, platypus you are right. On xbox quickscopes are joke, when you master it on PC, you basically either annoys all teh campers or being treated like a pro.

sorry if i wasn't clear but i dont quick scope on account of it being 80% luck, its looks cool in kill cams, but its just not a legitimate skill that you can actually be "pro" at.

If anybody actually thinks quick scoping is an actual legitimate skill that can be taken past killing randoms in pub matches i was suggesting they try it in an environment where they are playing people who are actually skilled, hence the GB.

I dont really 1v1 people in offline lobbies anymore its no fun if the only thing on the line is a little bit of ego that you would lose or gain playing against a person you will never contact again, id rather have something to show for a win.

PS: sorry if i didn't respond to your message i get alot of messages from random haters from pub lobbies i usually dont bother opening them unless its a name i reconize =P.

I have a friend who is rather good at quickscoping (OMFG YES ITS LUCK AND SUCH) but he's able to pull it off quite well and go on large KS's. And yeah, it's harder in GB but pubs are so much more fun to screw with the players

No you're right, only quickscoping in 'pro' games will get you nowhere. However, because I am constantly quickscoping in pub games I am a much better sniper all-round and when playing for the win I decimate other snipers who hardscope only. Since i'm so accurate with quickscopes, I have that extra ability to use the sniper in professional games at a wider variety of ranges, thus making me a much better sniper than yourself.

Besides, ProSim (which is the only pro console ladder I really recognise), has many quickscopers and profficient snipers due to the one shot kill they are given. Quickscoping takes far more skill than your ego allows it and definitely has a place in professional gaming.

Well, even though quickscoping is fake, I prefer people quickscoping then people spinning in circles with 10 sensitivity and noscoping, but miraculously not a single bullet misses
