I'm already used to the first map pack so I wouldnt mind gettin down on some new ones. This one actually looks like they put some time/effort into. The last ones were kinda basic.

If you go into xbox dash there is a video that's a "behind the scenes" or something with the new maps. They actually look pretty decent and like they put a certain amount of thought into them. They did some interesting tweaks to the old COD4 maps to speed the game play up and make it "less desirable to camp". I'm kinda intrigued.

Carnival looks absolutely amazing i dont think they've ever done another map like it they made it look pretty cool. The only other one that stuck out to me was trailer park it looked pretty good but i can see it getting shotgun/ claymore abused.

The 2 maps their bringing back, strike and vacant i think are good choices, strike was pretty amazing and i think it transitions well, vacant though was the only map on cod4 that i shotguned or rpged on and on mw2 its gonna be straight crazy with the explosions and the shotguns but who knows its still a good map.

Xbox gets them a month early we just got out first weekend of double exp pc users and PSN users can wait and get feedback from the xbox users before they buy the maps.

I'm down with the new maps. And they made really good choices on the two they're bringing back. $15 is doable. Especially if you play a lot.

You can find this video on the IW youtube page as well.

They look better than the 1st map pack maps, but I thought Bailout looked good and it isn't. Hopefully won't be the same sense of disappointment with these. Not that I'm buying them any time soon.

Damn, you guys haven't had your wallets raped enough already?

If you've already bought the first DLC you've got ~$75 into the game, get the second and you're probably ~$90 into it. Would you guys have paid $90 right off the bat if there were 10 more maps than it had when it first came out?

$90 for a game people play a shitload (that is a scientific term btw) seems worth it really. People definitely get their money's worth from it.

Highly scientific, but if you saw it on the shelf for $90 would you have bought it?

Edit: to me its not so much a question of value...... to me "computer games" have ALWAYS been the best entertainment $$$ I've ever spent value wise (or bang for your buck)

(Except that one night back in the Army for the price of a hotel room, but that was epic and can never be equaled no matter what the cost)

There's such mixed emotions on the new maps. Which is kinda odd, seems like people generally like and dislike the same maps. I think all the new maps are fun to play on, with the exception of overgrown, which fucking sucks. But I'm sure many would disagree with me. Bailout is one of my favorites to play on, but I don't think it's fair. The spawns are bad and the team that spawns on A in domination has the advantage.

I'll get the new map pack as soon as I can. $15 really isn't that much money...Especially for entertainment. It cost $10 to see a movie, you're going to spend at least $15 on a night out. I'd love to see IW/Activision suck a fat one, but I want to have fun on the new maps!

I would have bought it. I know that this game is easily worth $90. I play it so much. Try comparing it to other forms of entertainment. A movie is $25 on Blu-Ray. And thats worth about 2 hours.

So if Black Ops comes out at $90 you'll buy it?

The map packs are optional. You get everything you need for $60. You only pay $90 if you want to, so it's not the same as the game being $90 on release. I see you're point though.

I would pay $90 for Black Ops if it fixed all the little issues that MW2 has!

I have like 15 days of playtime = 360 hours. I'll probably play at least 5 more days, so 480 hours of entertainment. For $90, that comes out to $.18 per hour. Just putting it into perspective, it's not as bad as some make it out to be.

Having been a platoon leader years ago, this tale has 100% plausibility... my soldiers came in off three day weekends with all kinds of story to tell and pictures to prove it.

I too will probably buy the map packs. I don't own many games (have had the 360 for 4 years, bought five games (MW2, College FB '09, Halo 3, TDU, Splinter Cell). So for me, buying a $15 game add on is not a bad deal, and I probably will not buy another game till for a year (and it will be a year old used game for half the price).

not really playing MW2 at the min but even i will probably buy it.

my friends and i were discussing this last night and we came to the descision that MW2 in fact any cod is a great filler game (meaning its real easy to pick up and enjoy inbetween games) we always end up going back to it for a month or so and some new maps freshen it up a bit. overgrown is one of the best CoD maps ever made, very balanced and unforgiving, it's also a great test of your sneakyness.

so i will probably splurge some cash on the new map pack cause why not if i'm gonna play it again i may aswell have some new maps to keep me interested, the price is arguable to a point but it really depends on how much you play and whether its gonna be worth it to you in the long run.

I think the new maps look pretty sweet., maybe excepting Trailer Park...I reckon thats gonna be a lot like Favela, but only on 2 levels (ground and roofs)..as Trailers dont have stairs.. anyway, the point is I suck at Favela...so not looking forward to that one.

Strike = Awesome map. Welcome it.
Vacant = Boo...Too many spawn kill spots, but will probably be quite good fun anyhow.

I'll buy the maps for $15/ £10. It's like someone said, it's nearly the same price as a pack of ciggarettes..

Lets be honest, we all love playing the game. We all have done our bitching about different things, But still play it. I personally love adding new maps and will pay $15.00 with a smile on my face. I can say I would have paid $190.00 for this game. I loved COD 4 and dont think mw2 is a good but still love playing it. I understand why people get mad because they charge for it, but you know its worth it.
