Ok so I'm fairly new at this game, just hit 70 recently and am not interested in prestiging (I like all my guns, etc) and I was wondering what the best combo of killstreaks are now that I have them all unlocked.

Up until this point I ran UAV, care package and predator. I have no idea why I ran this, just was trying to rack up points to hit 70 and kills.

Up to 70 I was probably 1.5 k:d but now I'm well over 2 and know the maps well, timing and player behavior pretty well.

Well last night I decided to run pred, attack chopper and pave low. Low and behold I hit the trio just about every game and my k:d shot to over 4 in most matches last night.

So I'm obviously a noob when it comes to killstreaks and am looking for advice on best setup for these. I'm thinking the AI controlled killstreaks are better because you can continue to kill while they do their thing but I may be wrong.

I liked the pred/chopper/pavelow setup because once I got to 5 kills, it was pretty much a given I had the three. I can get 2 kills with the pred often enough to put me right at chopper, then 2 more from chopper to pave low to bridge them together the best way possible.

Thoughts/opinions?

Ok so harrier over the chopper then? Any reason why?

From my understanding the harrier hovers over a specific area while the chopper circles the map. However, I think it takes two shots to take down the harrier and that may make it more appealing.

In regards to the UAV, I was helpful for the first 70 levels, I'm going selfish for the kills now. It seems like very few others use UAV.

Harrier gets more kills than the Chopper. Both take 1 missile to shoot down, but the harrier also has 2 airstrikes before hovering, if you can place it right you'll get a couple with it.

UAV is the best killstreak, everyone is selfish though. You can get just as many/more kills by using an UAV as you can by using most of the other killstreaks.

Ok I'll go with the harrier then. It gets 2 airstrikes? I thought it was 1. But yeah, an airstrike and hover is better.

You're right about the UAV. I may have to reconsider. I play ghost/ninja run and gun so UAV benefits me greatly.

Just to give another opinion, I run UAV, Pred, and Harrier. Back when I was a kill-whore I ran Harrier, Pavelow, CG/AC-130.

For kill use predator, harrier, and the AC-130/Chopper Gunner. It's reasonably easy to get 5 kills for the predator, which puts the ball in motion. The predator gets you to 7 for your harrier, which has a chance of getting you to 11, if not close to, so you can get your chopper gunner. This combo is usually good for 15-20 kills, and it's efficient at doing so.

Team Player Setup (3-5-7)

UAV - Having a UAV up for most of the game gives your team the advantage of knowing where your enemies are. Efficient for taking out campers, and Ninja users avoiding HBS. Obviously doesn't work for CB users.

Predator Missile - Clear out open spots, and it can also wipe out enemy killstreaks, even the AC-130 can be taken down with luck. Use it for higher end enemy killstreaks, or to get your Harrier.

Harrier Strike - Two airstrikes in one spot and a gunship hovering can provide support over objectives.

I like Pred, Harrier, Pavelow. Though like it's been said already if you want to help your team and not just your personal score then UAV is the best option. But depending on how good you are you could go from UAV to Pred to Pavelow.

Off-topic:

They really need to make it to where if you're a good enough shot, you can shoot the pilot of the Harrier or Pavelow. And if you're under it when it crashes it kills you. I'm sure alot of people will disagree, but i just think it would add a little more realism to the game.

I dunno, a Pave Low crashing down on people in Rust or Scrapyard would be a massacre. It would also penalize the shooter, standing below a Harrier and shooting down results in a suicide? That'd be a major buzzkill.

Lately I've been using UAV, Counter UAV, and Attack Helicopter for a few reasons.
I dont want to have to find a place to stop and hide to use the kill streaks.
UAV is one of the most helpful KS in the game,
CUAV gets on my nerves, so I figure it must get on others too, and
AH is a quick click that hangs around for a long time and seems to do better than most folks give it credit for.

True. yeah having it crash on your own teammates would suck. But you should definately be able to shoot the pilot. I'd love to be able to hold breath, aim, fire and see a blood splatter inside the cockpit before it goes spinning out of control.

Best Overall: UAV/Pred/Harrier. Nice mix of recon and killing power.

Best Bloodshed: Harrier/Pavelow/AC130. IIRC all 3 can be up at the same time. Complete destruction.

Best Team Player: UAV/Counter UAV/Sentry Gun. Save the Counter UAVs until the other team calls in a UAV, don't just spam them. If they don't call any in then they get to spend the last 2 minutes of the match with their radar jammed. LOL. I remember one time I had 5 saved up...pretty epic.

Sentry over Predator here because you can set it up on a flank for your teammates.

Bonus points on this setup if you use Hardline and die on purpose once you hit Sentry Gun. You'll be amazed at how many killstreaks you rack up. Seriously, 2-Kill UAV is the shit.

I run this alot when I play with a team of 6 friends, and I'm probably the best slayer on the team. I use Hardline, get to 4 kills, kill myself with a Semtex, repeat. Mass killstreaks FTW.

Getting a Care Package makes it feel like Christmas.
UAV is good for teamwork.
Sentry is good for capping a flank.

Attack Heli counts towards the Stinger challenge. People will often switch classes for this kill. Harriers do not, plus they sometimes have a flare. I would go harrier.

If you want to obliterate, Harrier, Pave Low, CG/AC-130.

The team benefits well. (Not that I really give a flying fudge about my team, unless I'm in a party)

They're easy to get multiple times in a match.

They fit my mildly aggressive playstyle well.

I'm bad at the game, they are easy KS rewards.

It really depends on how you want to go.

If you want a trio you can get pretty easily, I'd go with the basic UAV, Care Package, Predator Missile.

^^^That^^^ setup is pretty simple. And you can use it no matter what gamemode you're in.

But if you wanna do something to net yourself more kills, I'd say Predator Missile, Harrier, EAD. or Predator Missile, Harrier, CG/AC130 (Whatever one you prefer).

The first one is pretty easy to get and the EAD can net you more kills if you're lucky enough to get good crates.

The second one is for killwhores. Pretty much if you can wreck the entire team, go ahead and do it.

It depends on the game mode for me.
TDM, DOM Pred/Harrier/Pavelow though lately I've been trying for the AC-130 (and failing)
S&D UAV/CP/Pred

Or if I know I'm going to play with my Eurofags, I use UAV/Pred/Harrier because I rarely get a good killstreak going w/ such shitty ping.
