Fuel Rock glitch - Modern Warfare 2 Forum: Free Call of Duty MW2 Community

I searched. Found nothing.

Anyone want to say anything about the Fuel rock glitch?

For those of you that do not know (I won't say how to do it) you can get inside a rock on fuel. It's out there in the rock garden on the open side of the map. People go inside and snipe from it.

I've both been pwned by people in the rock and pwnd people from inside the rock.

I even got a pretty sweet game winning kill cam from inside the rock. Complete with visible tac insertion.

FYI you are not invincible when inside the rock.

Pretty much my attitude is that the only way to get this glitch fixed is to spread the word and and abuse the fuck out of the glitch. Also, by talking about this we can save people some serious nerd rage that would occur when they get pwnd by someone they cannot find.

Abusing systems have worked so well for prestige hacks, MLC tactical knifers, and OMALOL+Danger Close spammers as far as getting things changed to balance them out... oh wait lol.

Maybe if IW had more than 3 staff members now there wouldn't be these problems

I just experienced this about 20 minutes ago. There were 3 guys back by that rock trying to get in it and using OMALOL, they didn't get in. Took me a few tries to get them but I finally did and I think stopped them from doing it.

I figured it would only be a matter of time before people found some glitches. Just think, they have yet to discover the elevator trick.

MLC tac knifing and OMALOL+DC are not glitches. They are in the game as intended.

Standing inside a huge rock where no one can see you is a glitch.

It's very easy to get inside the rock if you know how to do it.

Ah so this is why there were people out there on my team not helping us in Domination last night. No wonder I was getting flanked the entire match.

^ It'll get fixed.

Got sniped once from that rock, killed the guy immediately after. I knew where he was, I just sprayed the rock.

Just like the rocks in Creek/COD4, how annoying. How are you so certain it'll get patched?

The glitches on COD4 never got patched, under Grandma's house, Creek, etc.

They've fixed all the other issues like this so far. I'm just assuming, I would be surprised if they didn't.

Not true glitches no... but considering that even after them pointing out that they wanted to change OMALOL they didn't, I don't have much faith in abusing their system to get change in return is all.

This exact same issue was on Afghan and Underpass, and they fixed both of those. They are actually decent at fixing legitimate glitches that affect game play. I have faith.

Listen, I should clarify something before this turns into a flame war:

1. I doubt that this will get fixed now just because of how short staffed they are. I don't think IW is going to be kept on life support that much longer.

2. I hope I am wrong about #1, it just happens to be my opinion

3. Abusing a glitch is not going to bring it to light properly. If one believes IW capable and willing to fix it, take screenshots and videos of proof of the glitch and then post it on the main MW2 forums. Abusing the system will not affect IW much, considering what a shell of a company they are (so no reputation to uphold) and will just end up pissing off the people you play against, turning you into a huge douche. That is my main point, that abusing a glitch is NOT the right way to fix it. Abusing it just makes you a turd.

You could be right about 1, and make a good point in 3.

I imagine it would take 1 guy like an hour to fix the rock glitch though. I'm optimistic.

Weren't just the top 2 dudes the ones that got fired? I doubt that there is only a handful of people left.

Yea, people left but there is still plenty of people still at IW.

402 responded with comments to some people on youtube on xGoldenx7's channel and said he would like to see the some fixes including that geo glitch on Fuel and some OMA tweaks.

Well, I think a lot of people know about the rock glitch. Pretty much every match I have played on Fuel there have been a couple people using it.

Played a FFA match on Fuel and found two boosters in there.

Since those firings a grand total of 26, as of the last article I read, people had left IW of their own volition... many of them the heads of their respective departments.

Edit: the article was from late April... plenty of time has passed since then, so it may be more by now.

So yeah, they still have people there... but I don't know how much they are able to cover between new map packs and fixing old bugs, etc.

i say use it as much as possible so someone like fourzerotwo gets killed by someone in the glitch and he rage quits and makes them fix it

I think I'm going to make a LMG class with tac insertion for when that map rolls around. I'll just spray the shit out of that rock over and over again. Ruin any glitch noobs game.
