I've long suspected this. But several people have brought this up to me and basically confirmed my suspicions.

Noobs don't have the map packs.


If you want to absolutely pwn some noobs with air support. Play in lobbies that don't support the new map packs.

You will roll lobbies full of shitty noobs who don't shoot down air support.
You will get easy nukes. Easy CG's and AC130's that roffle pwn.

Seriously. Join a party with someone who doesn't have the map packs. You will laugh yourself silly at how easy it is to pwn. Sick of 3 enemy stingers pointed at your harrier while it flies in? do this.

I'm serious. Ima play the old maps and pwn some non prestige, low level, down syndrome NOOBS.

Anyone confirm or deny this?

I do very well where I'm at right now. I called in 123 two kill harriers in the last week? Sometimes it's fun to just rofle pwn some low level non prestige noobs.

Platty, I agree with you......

....but he's right, the quality of players has gone down since the map packs came out..... I refuse to pay for them so I'm stuck with only the old. I'm an average player and used to be able to run through all 3 of the kill streaks once a match and get the PM one or two others. Now though I seem to be getting all 3 rewards at least twice in every match.

Just one more reason i hate the map packs and the pay for dlc.

None of my buddies whom play casually have the map packs. So it makes sense that they'd be 'noob' filled lobbies. Buuut I'm also doing just fine as it is, and I'm enjoying the new maps!

I think you first need to party with someone who doesn't have the new maps. You get a message that says something like "dlc map packs disabled" or something like that, then the only lobbies you can join are the original ones.

Frankly, I think the people that don't have the map pack probably have higher IQs, better money management skills, a nicer outlook on life, friends and relationships, and are statistically better endowed with a higher average endurance. OP is a moron.

I can kind of see where your coming from, but I think the Resurgence pack is worth it for Fuel and Carnival. Two of the best TDM maps in the game IMHO.

Go back into the PS store select the map packs again and download. PSN keeps a log of what you have purchased in case you need to download them again (playstation breaks buy a new one and map packs are there for you).

Yes. I will confirm this.

Bought a new HD off of Craigslist which had 7 months of online play on it, still. So I have this bunk ass gamertag that wasn't even first prestige when I started playing on it. (I came from being a fifth prestige on my brothers acct.) I don't have either of the map packs.

Sometimes I run into higher prestiges, but more often than not I can find really low prestige/level rooms. It's great.

What helps too is not being a high prestige.



I think we're all playing this game for different reasons, and just because someone is playing so that they can whoop on some people repeatedly doesn't mean that they're an idiot or playing incorrectly or whatever.

We're all just here to have some fun so quit calling people morons or whatever just because they want to play a certain way.

I'm not sure if I really agree with this? I play without the map packs with my friends, and a lot of the lobbies don't have noobs, but there are several noob lobbies around still, even in map pack lobbies

Yup, playing without the map packs definitely means you play against worse players. It makes sense, as new players obviously won't buy the packs straight away, I have both packs and haven't seen an un-prestiged player in a few days now.

Buying the maps doesn't mean you are a friendless bastard though lol. Seeing how millions have bought them the generalisation is pretty poor.

OP is a bit of a dick though, and besides I like playing better people its that more satisfying when you win.

I rarely even get a lobby with any non prestige players in it anymore. Most my lobbies have very high prestige players in them.

Not so say that prestige = good players. Not at all.

I'd grow a boner and an evil grin if I could get a lobby full of legit non prestige level 20's again.

I actually did get a lobby like this for one of my nukes. Half the players were zero prestige and below level 40. The rest the the players were 1st or 2nd prestige and below level 50. it was my fastest nuke (TDM) and the other players after the game were all like "holy fuck."

I love pwning noobs. If I could play all day against brand new players and just make them all rage quite and leave games. I would.
