If I could only use one perk setup for the rest of my days in mw2 it would be:

Sleight of hand
Stopping Power
Steady Aim

Most of my classes use this set up.
I'm kind of over the whole ninja thing. Scavenger can be awesome, as well as OMA. Commando is, of course, the cheese. But the above set up is just reliable and useful all the time.

I enjoy marathon - stopping power - ninja for normal gameplay, so much fun to flank
Sleight of Hand - Cold Blooded - Ninja is unbeatable for SnD
and Sleight of Hand/Scavenger - Stopping power - Steady aim for sniping since my secondaries are usually akimbo something.

My most (as in always) used perk is Scavenger. I find this a must have since my aim is pretty bad and this way I don't have to worry about running out of ammo.
Second One is either Stopping Power or Cold Blooded (Though I use the later much more often)
Third one I don't know. I have one setup with Comando, and one with SitRep, but mostly Ninja.

Which Perks would you use if you could freely assign them to the Perk slots? For me I think I would go with Scav, SoH and Cold Blooded. Though I might switch SoH with Stopping Power for some setups...

The sad thingabout scavenger is that I feel scavenger pro almost negates the need for scavenger in the first place, with the exception of claymores and tubes.

If I start out with 180 spare bullets, I'm not likely to burn through all those and still need to pick up more ammo.

True, Scav PRO makes Scavenger somewhat less necessary. But don't forget the 'nades man! When I started to use Scavenger I also started to use my grenades a lot more, since I rarely run out. With my sniper setup it's especially good to have two claymores available instead of one, since this locks down a lot of places. Makes it much harder to sneak up on you.

Very boring i know, but it gets the job done. I've started using the Scar quite a bit so im tempted to throw scavenger on that cus I run out of ammo after about 4-5 kills.

Whenever I have an AR for a primary on any class, I use Scavenger because I always run out of ammo if I don't, it really sucks when I use One Man Army to max out all the pros on it and have to change my class.

That's true, but if you don't use it you need more ammo. Better to have extra then not enough and get killed.

As i havent moved into HC im not as in love with cold blooded as perhaps I should be. Call me a nub but I like to drop people fast so stopping power is good. Scav is a great perk for streaking/nukes. Sleight of hand for fast/quick death levels and I like steady aim, okay its not always tangible whether it has helped you but if your an AR user and are caught up close against an opponent steady aim will help you out so much. I want to get into sitrep as it could be a great perk but sit rep pro take 400 years to complete.
