Default Favourite Free-For-All Classes

I have two classes I am especially fond of. I have been using both with reasonable success online in FFA. One of them is a straight rip-off from SeaNanners, except that I had been toying with the TAR-21 for a while now anyhow. Everyone knows that the TAR-21 has the highest damage to output ratio in the game, giving it considerable stopping power. This combined with Stopping Power (Pro) makes it stronger than it needs to be, allowing the use of a Silencer without sacrificing much power or distance. Akimbo m93s are the shiz and don't need much discussion, although, I may change to Akimbo Glocks for the higher output. Input is very much encouraged and welcomed!

TAR-21 w/ Silencer

Akimbo m93 Raffica

Claymore Proximity Mine

Flash Grenades

Scavenger Pro

Stopping Power Pro

Ninja Pro

Depending on the kind of lobby I'm in I might change the 3rd tier perk if people aren't on the mic enough to warrant its use. I know this is super old tech, but I really love scavenger pro with clays, it's newish to me =D

My second FFA class that I feel is more original and almost as competitive,

AUG-HBAR w/ Silencer & Grip

AA-12 w/ Extended Mags & Holographic Sight

Semtex

Flash Grenades

Bling Pro

Stopping Power Pro

Ninja Pro

I will often change the secondary depending on what map I'm playing in, in larger maps I will usually change to Raffica with Holographic Sight and FMJ. So this is very much a load out in progress, my biggest concern is that Bling Pro may not be as effective as Slight of Hand or even Scavenger w/ Clays. What do people think would make this class more competitive?

My current favorites are:

Famas w/FMJ
Akimbo M93 Rafficas

Stun
Semtex

Slight of Hand Pro
Stopping Power Pro
Sit Rep Pro

Or

MP5K w/ Extended Mags
SPAS-12

Same as above for the rest. I like Slight of Hand Pro because of the faster ADS.

This to me is interesting, I have had a few people tell me about the advantages of the FAMAS over the M16. I prefer the iron sights on the FAMAS but even with Stopping Power it takes the whole burst the kill someone, whereas w/ Stopping Power on the M16 you only really need to graze them.

@ vile phylactery

I have heard that the M16 does have a little more power also, I just seem to have better luck with the FAMAS, I like the iron sights better too.

And I forgot about my booster class:
Tar-21 or F2000 w/GL
Thumper or RPG
Stun
Semtex
Marathon Pro
Danger Close Pro
Sit Rep Pro or Ninja Pro

I love ruining the day for those boosters. If I am having a bad day playing other games I will join some FFA games and do some hunting.

Noice, noice.

I'm guessing the F2000 is not being used in "try hard" lobbies lol

Putting a silencer on a lmg (or sniper) causes a damage reduction (as opposed to the range reduction on other weapons, which just makes the guns damage drop to its long-range amount sooner); if you want something to a similar effect a scar-h with stopping power and a silencer will be a little bit more accurate than a grip'd AUG (I think), take the same amount of shots to kill someone at range (3) but also be able to kill someone in 2 shots at close range. The scar does only have 20 round magazines and 2 spare mags, however (but since you won't need bling anymore you could use scavenger).

Edit: I noticed you're also using flashbangs, stun grenades throw a lot faster and as such can be more useful in a tight situation.

I agree, and this is more a point of principle than anything, and not to sound self-important or anything, but I don't play with the UMP45 or the SCAR-H because I get shit stomped every FFA or TDM I play by those two weapons. What's strange to me is that the AK-47 has the same base damage and very similar fire rate to the SCAR yet I almost never see that online, at least not as much.

Ahh yes, I'm glad someone picked up on that. My reasoning behind using flashes over stuns, generally that is (I do use stuns as well), is that many people, myself included can still fire well enough while stunned that they seem less effective at really stunning people than flashes. Stuns are deployed more quickly for sure, but it blurs vision and slows movement, whereas a good flash will completely white out the targets entire screen for a solid 4-6 seconds.

When I want to camp and get a high KD and get a pavelow every game and chopper gunner in a lot of games:

famas + silencer
spas12 + grip
claymore
stuns
scavenger
stopping power
ninja
harrier - pavelow - chopper gunner

Otherwise I use the UMP45 with marathon. UAV + CUAV + harrier.

Cold Blooded and Ninja are the most important IMO and all I play is FFA really. Marathon or scavenger for the first perk either are good depends your play style (ie. camping with claymores or running round like rambo)
SMG for primary and a shotgun for secondary.

And of course always the Throwing Knife! I only play MW2 for the throwing knife

My experience in FFA is that the predator is pure fail.

It takes you away from the action and gives your enemies an opportunity for an easy kill. And it usually only nets 1 kill. A kill you probably would have got if you didn't have your face buried in that lap top.

The only reason I would ever use the pred in FFA is to destroy air support. Otherwise I think Harrier is a safe first KS.

Honestly, if I were going for nukes, I would use Harrier - Pave Low - nuke in FFA. They seem to rack up a lot of kills if you roll a decent lobby that doesn't have stinger noobs running around.

Semtex/throwing knife for lulz final killcams
Flash

Marathon pro
Lightweight pro

Since FFA is about getting kills as fast as possible, I sit in an area and shoot people as they spawn. Then let my harrier and pave low rape the shit out of them.

I once got my AC130 21 kills before an enemy had 5 kills. The whole lobby started talking about finding the booster and killing him. Some dude spoke up and said "he's just kicking our asses by camping in the basement of the estate." then they all pretty much came for me tag team style

Hey Guys. I am currently using the Tar-21 w/ Holographic Sight.

I seem to see a lot of people using them with Silencers, FMJ, or Hearbeats. Is there some serious significance To Those Attachments? Like out of the ordinary anyway, because it doesn't really seem like the gun for say, a Silencer, and heartbeat can really be a negative thing.

This is more about your signature. But its nice to see someone who doesn't mind their K/D. It's not really a big deal, yet people make it one.

I'd rather play for fun.

This one is the best:

UMP45 w/ Silencer once I unlock it
Spas-12 w/ Silencer

Stuns/Semtex
Sleight of Hand Pro (helps with ADSing the spas if you don't use steady aim)
Cold Blooded
Ninja

This class is so awesome. Nice and stealthy... SoH pro lets you ADS super fast which is nice, since the spread and power of the spas is lower than usual and you need to make shots count.

The other one that I like:

Scar-H w/ RDS
USP .45 Akimbo

Stuns/Semtex

Scavenger Pro
Cold Blooded
Steady Aim

This one is pretty versatile. It helps you stay invisible to UAV, even though you'll show up on radar. Just keep moving around, and with cold blooded you'll be hard to find and with steady aim and the SCAR you'll be hard to kill.

I played with the first class for the first time on Sub Base FFA, got an AC-130 (not using a nuke setup, I just like getting AC-130's because they're cooler than chopper gunners, pave lows and nukes) and won by a landslide.

I used the second one on terminal FFA, won about 30-6, also got an AC-130 (almost 2).

Both great classes.
