Well, I've seen multiple complaints about 5 main weapons and about how they are for noobs. I decided to see if the noobs themselves give the weapons bad names, or if the weapons themselves are meant to be used like they are.. Here are the results.

For every test I used Scavenger, Stopping power, and Ninja, except in test #5. See details in that section.

Well, as I've heard from everybody, this gun is used to run in a room and unload a whole clip in order to kill one person. I didn't believe this is how the gun was meant to be used, so I took it on Domination, and ended up on Highrise. I used this gun as I do the striker, shooting one shot and if that doesn't kill them I shoot another. I ran around with this gun only, and after 3 minutes had only used up 2 clips and racked up 10 kills. I was impressed that it only needed a few shots per kill and people that waste a whole clip on one person don't know how to use it. If this weapon weren't abused, I think it would be a great secondary.

Everybody knows of the infamous akimbo g18s, the hail of bullets out of nowhere, the incredible range, the surprisingly little recoil. However, I believe that people do not know how to use this weapon correctly. I got Favela, my favorite CQC map. Instead of mindlessly spraying with these, I only switched to them when I was clearing a room or moving down an alley, I found that these were very effective, but are still beat by shotguns at CQC. If these weren't abused and people weren't bullied for using them I believe they would actually be considered a good secondary.

Thermal... Allowing half blind people to spot people from across the map. Sounds wonderful eh? Well, if people did what snipers were supposed to do with this then it would be great. I used my normal sniping method of staying unscoped until I see movement and then looking at the object I saw move. Thermal was great for me to see whether it was a person or a fan(I shoot at those alot). However, there are the snipers that stay scoped in the whole game and shoot at anything that lights up brighter than a christmas tree. Once again, I do believe this is an abused attachment and if used as I do it has a lot of potential to be very helpful.

Weapon: ACR(GayCR)
Attachment: None(never used)
Map: Rundown
Killstreaks: UAV, EMP, Nuke

Ahhh the ACR, known for it's incredibly little recoil for an assualt rifle. I camped out on the building overlooking B on the C side of Rundown, and placed claymores to protect myself. I had a wonderful team who covered my sides so I could finish as I did. I used this weapon to see why everybody was complaining, and I figured it out. I was able to rack up 47 kills with 1 death, and got my first ever killstreakless nuke. This weapon was incredibly easy to get kills with because of stopping power. It only took about 8 shots to kill somebody, and the sights never bounced around. I was impressed with this weapon, but I see why everybody complains. This is the only true noob weapon I see on this game.

*Used the OMALOL class, the class I hear ranted about the most.

Now for the exact map, and weapon that got me my first nuke. The tar-21 with a noob tube attached. I set up overlooking B with my claymores and grenadier. I started the game off by spawn tubing and got a multikill for 4 kills. I then shot in to B and got a triple as people tried to capture it. I got to my pavelow in less than a minute. I finished the game at my highest score ever, 67-21.

Then I decided, why not try it like I think it should be tried?

I decided to use the tube as I think it should be used, to shoot where enemies are camping out or when they round a corner. I used my regular gun as I normally do, and when I ran low on ammo I used OMA to refill it. However, if I noticed an enemy rounds a corner and I think he's still there I shot a tube into the general area and either missed him completely or killed him. When using it like it's supposed to be used, I finished a modest 30-9. I enjoyed using it because it saved me many times when I would have rounded a corner normally and gotten killed. Once again, I do think this was abused and not used as it was meant to be.

Feel free to discuss my conclusions on these weapons!

If you would like anything added about these or even another weapon tested, please feel free to post. I am going to add a few more after another day of no lifing tomorrow.

Please comment, I spent 30 minutes writing this and 2 hours of gameplay doing this. I will be adding more.

While some weapons are extremely cheesy-easy to get kills with, I personally try to not label someone as using a "noob weapon" unless they use it like a noob (like someone using an M21 but they use half a clip to kill one person. I don't care about the M21 part.... but watching them just unload their bullets around the guy like some bad action movie... ugh)

re: OP

it's a bit of a useless test. you haven't used the weapons the way they're intended to be abused. I.e tubing LoS/lanes, windows, doors etc.
marathon/scav lw steady aim g18s.
hardscoping the shit out of thermal.

Saying: I used them how I would normally play doesn't make much sense when you're meant to be adopting a completely different style of play required to 'abuse' said weapons.
