Well to me that's not as fun as at least attempting something funny. I don't know about you, but I can laugh at myself. If I fuck up a 360 and get killed it's funny to me. It's just a game, it's not real life. Some people take their win/loss ratio too seriously I guess. Why are they even playing with randoms in the first place then? If you don't care about W/L ratio, you wouldn't be too mad, would you?

Try-hards are the thousands of kids who play this game and try to do something they see in a montage on YouTube. Anyone who plays this game properly (i.e. plays to win, either by playing the objectives or killing everyone as much as possible) is a hero in my book, not enough of them exist.

I have a group a friends I play with sometimes and we always try to 360 for the last kill and we just do it for fun. We're not trying to impress anyone.

I take it then if you were playing SnD and every go I was last man but instead of winning I just dicked about and killed myself everytime, you would have no problem because it's just a game. Even if you were sat there every go waiting for me. Doubt it. I have a feeling you get annoyed.

btw best description I ever heard was this :-

Cool - something which takes the least amount of effort defining itself.

This is why I never play SnD. As Sandy Ravage calls it "Snooze n Dreams" Too much showboating and too much watching your teammates stare at the wall after you die.

The only time I play is when I'm drunk, because I can camp out and not have to worry about sloppy play. Also, I can chew seeds while I'm waiting to respawn.

Yes, my weapon choice says everything about my skill at the game, there's absolutely no way I am also successful with just about any other weapon in the game as well.

Clearly, you can't be successful with the UMP because of skill...it totally has an aimbot and wall hacks built in.

The only reason you would hate is because you get beat by it. No matter how you spin it, showboating risks costing you the game and is a dumb idea. so call me a 'try hard' all you want, even though you clearly don't understand what it means. I'll keep winning, and you can keep being viewed as an asshole by people you lose matches for.
