How is that during the day (until 5 p.m.) I can do really well and then in the evening I'm absolutely terrible? Is it that all the great players are on? Is it that I've played for the majority of a day and just plain can't do it anymore? Today during the day I kicked butt (for me anyway) and as soon as I get on after dinner I might as well play with my t.v. off because I get destroyed no matter what I do. Anybody else have this problem?

I'll either have days where everything works my way, days where I can barely keep a .5 KDR per game, or days where I just get bored of it.

To me, it depends a lot more on the lobby, not the time.

the make up of the lobby is dependent on the time. Past 12-1am and your lobby will generally have better skilled players because casual gamers actually have to wake up for work in the morning and be productive
members of society and aren't going to play past 12-1 am

I'm a casual gamer and before my Xbox Live ran out the time of day I played most was between the hours of 1 am and 5 am. Then I would go to bed so I can get up for work the next day.

time of day is huge.

I don't play much anymore. But when I do I try to play around 6AM-11AM. And pretty much only FFA. There are almost zero nuke boosters playing during this time. I deleted my map packs and I'm getting hecka noobed out lobbies when I play in the early morning. I'm busting out flawless FFA's on a regular basis.

Playing FFA in the evening (peak time) is a whole different story. I do well but not 10 KD every game well.

Usually between 3 and 5 pm. So I tend to get up around 2 pm since my work is only a 10 min walk from my house.

Past 12-1am EST for me and you start getting into horrible host bullet eaters. For some reason the internet in Michigan just goes to total shiat at that time. People that took 2-3shots to kill now require 7-8. I managed to throw semtex through a riot shield and the guy as he ranger kimboed me. So time of day matters since at some point it totally goes herp a derp.

I found I did better later at night when I was getting killed by noob tactics. When I would go 25-2 I would look at my clock and be like yup 11pm. This would happen with out fail. All the younger kids are on during the middle of the day so it may be easier.

I do best in the morning and after about 10 PM. I think its that all the 14 year old kids get out of school and come home to nube toob/sit in a corner with a HBS for 3 hours/MLC constantly.

I know these tactics are cheap, but not necessarily inexperienced, but its kind of like why I don't like to play poker with people who don't know what they're doing. You've got a decent hand and they've got crap. They end up beating you with their 6 and 9 because they didn't know any better and called all those bets they shouldn't really have been calling.

What I'm getting at (and this is def. argueable) is that the game is better and more fun when people play the game the way it should be played, than when they play like total idiots.

After 5pm is when the kids come online, or so I've noticed. Game generally becomes unplayable with all the shitty tactics being used during the evenings. If I can avoid the shitty tactics it's a stroll in the park, but given the way the game is made that's a rare thing to happen.

lol I was just going to say something about that. Basically it has become necessary to be in parties due to the excessive naggery that occurs during the games. If you know your teammates are good players then you can go about your normal play style and do exceptionally well.

Edit: Oh and I run solo when I'm not invited Campy.

Oz try to get on somewhat earlier tonight and I can probably squeeze you in. That party really fills up fast. Really when you are by yourself with 5 or more randoms (if you play Ground War) the tubes are MLC runners will drive you mad. Then you have that one guy who feeds the other team killstreaks. Running with a party communicating and calling out tactics really puts a damper on them. MLC is tough to pull off when the other team waits with 6 LMGS for you to run out and spray you to death.

I get up early. And I only worked about every other day so far this year. So if I get up at 6 AM and don't have any work that day I can just rock out MW2 all morning.

With my old internet there were evenings that my connection was so crappy that I couldn't play. In the morning I always have retarded good internet. Don't have a neighborhood full of noobs streaming movies at 7AM hogging all my bandwidth.

I recently upgraded to 50 up and 10 down connection. Mornings are insane. And evenings are always decent now, if not insane.
