SitRep Pro will help you TONS in hearing people near you.
Of course stopping power, i agree with you on the pp2k jus like the mini smg but imo it seems like forever when u try to switch from primary to secondary. So right now im running with akimbo magnums.

I've always used PP2000 as my secondary (have about 160 kills with it this prestige) when sniping and find it does very well.

In general just try to move with your teammates but get in to a position that allows you to see into where the enemy will be spawning.

Aim for upper chest/head as it's always a one shot (assuming no silencer) and you don't have the need for Stopping Power.

Remember with the PP2000's to switch to them right when you spawn then back to the sniper. They have some sort of safety switch animation and it can get you killed if you need them out in a hurry in the middle of a fight.

I love those rafficas dont get me wrong, but theyre way to easy to kill with, and i get more enjoyment out of the magnums.

after readin a previous post in this thread i went and tried the EBR with the ACOG
i have to say its actually a decent enough gun wit the ACOG it acts more like a AR
however as a sniper rifle im not a fan because of its 2/3 shot kill thing

Thanks for all the responses.

however I do prefer the intervention, or the .50 cal over the other two rifles. 2-3 shot kills ain't my thing.

For my secondary weapon I use akimbo magnums or one of the shotgun (forgot what its called its the semi auto one that shoots slow) but I dont think the secondary is the problem since I usually dont see the person till after I die.

For example

1) Running from place to place ( I do check down hallways and stuff to make sure theres no enemies) I turn too look down a hallway and a guy come from the way I was moving when I turn and kills me.

2) same as 1) but when I turn back someone comes out from where I just was looking and shoots me.

3) some guy hides in a dark corner and I dont even react to him...

4) sniper in the grass picks me off while Im running around and I dont even notice him till its too late

5) guy on top of building take me out a lot

6) turn the corner and a guys there...

I've gotten use to quickscoping lately, but I get my crosshair dead center on the guy, shoot, but nothing happens. the kill cam shows my shot way off, is that just lag?

your timing is off, wait just a little longer before pulling the trigger. you can't shoot the instant the sight picture shows up, you have to wait a split second because the spread is still contracting to the pinpoint of the crosshairs.

you mean I have to pull when the picture actually comes out right. you cant just scope and shoot at the same time right. Ill try it out though Im not great at the sniper rifle yet.

A little tip about pulling out secondaries. They always take longer to pull out the first time you switch to them after you spawn. So every time you spawn you should switch to your secondaries then back to your primary. This will help greatly if you should need to pull out your secondaries in a hurry.

I'm 99% certain this only occurs when using the PP2000.

If you don't believe me then try it out for your self. The animation for each weapon is different the first time it is pulled out.

It isn't too obvious with most guns, but with things like the pp2000 the guy presses something on the side of the gun when you pull it out the first time and on the models you flip them around the first time you pull them out, after that the just kinda pop up.

I had no idea that the secondary weapon did that. I'm all about speed when it comes to a secondary with a sniper because all pistols are two hit kills from short range with SP as long as you don't hit them in the finger. I use the USP45 silenced or FMJ or Akimbo strictly because it has the fastest pull out time...........Just like me!

I was just checking it out today and it seems only some secondaries have a different pull out time for the first swap.

My best advice for snipers is don't sit in a spot and look through your scope for long periods of time. Don't even scope in until you see something to shoot. Move around a lot. But don't sprint around like a headless chicken.
If on xbox use sensitivity of 5-8.

Use a pistol secondary. I find the usp45 is real easy to control with a high sensitivity when you ADS with it.

Do you know how to quick scope? I run around all the time with a sniper rifle. Mostly the barrett because obviously you can fire faster with that. We do private matches all the time with just sniper rifles if you're on 360 and interested.
