Anyways. I play MW2 for the sole purpose of humiliating people and showing them up. and laughing at them.

The single best way to humiliate someone.
Is with a "Ninja Defuse"

Lying behind the bomb planter in Search and Destroy. And as the bomb is planted. You begin to defuse as he runs off.

Ninja Defusing is not only fun. But an extremely useful tactic. If your against 6 people. Last man. And you see a bomb planter. Instead of being massacred by 6 bomb defenders. Get in there early and defuse the bomb! Free win against impossible odds!

Brilliant right?

Although. This is FAR from easy. There is a lot to take into account.

For example
CLASS SETUP (1 Perfect Class)
Primary: WA2000 w/ Heartbeat Sensor.
Secondary: Ranger w/ FMJ
Perk 1: Marathon Pro
Perk 2: Cold Blooded >>>PRO<<<
Perk 3: Ninja Pro
Equipment: Blast Shield
Secondary Equipment: Smoke Grenades




Why the WA2000?
Give's you a ghille Suit. Heartbeat sensor so you know when to hit the deck.

Why the ranger?
Smallest shotgun. Still capable of busting some ass if things go wrong.

Marathon? Why not Bling for self defense?
With Marathon, you get there first. They can build a well defended guard around an area. Impossible to get into. Unless, of course. You were already in there.

Cold Blooded. Emphasis on the pro much?
Invisible to auto-killstreaks, and NO NAME ABOVE YOU! You NEED this. NEED IT!!!!!

Ninja?
Well. If you dont know why. Leave. Please

Blast Shield? dude. You serious?
Half the time. People flash or stun the bombsite. Giving them a hitmarker. they know you are there. Blast shield stops this. Keeping you hidden.

Smoke?
Just a mere distraction. No biggy.

Okay. So were do I go?
Somewere Grassy. In view of the bomb. Hidden. To be simple.
Keep it within about, 6 seconds of the bomb. At a maximum.
Keep it kinda "Away" from the well trodden paths.
Or. Stick two royal fingers up at that. And go somewhere SO blatant. They wont believe your alive.
Middle of a road?
In some trash bags?
Next to the bomb?
On some Cars?
Inside another dead body? (Great Spot. Honestly)

MY guy keeps moving. How do i stop that?
Get your primary Weapon. And press Y or Triangle REALLY FAST (As fast as your fire a FAL) And you will look dead! But to some more seasoned players. Your still obvious!

Thats is why you need to find a suitable spot to hide! To add more camouflage!

I thought it would be cool if we had a thread where everyone just listed tips about MW2. Maybe we could all learn a few things. Please don't post anything stupid like "crouch with the riot shield to protect your feet." You can, however, post things that may be obvious to a lot people but not others.

I'll start off.

-One Man Army Pro takes less time than reloading a light machine gun with large magazines such as RPD, M240, ect, without sleight of hand. So you can have infinite ammo and not get killed reloading as often by using OMA every time you run low on bullets and have to reload.

-Throw stuns or flashes to kill people in last stand easily.

-Throw stuns and flashes at yourself while in last stand so that the other team doesn't get the kill on you. Semtex, C4, and frags work too.

-Right after shooting the .50 Cal or Intervention, if you take out your throwing knife, it will be crooked. And if you go into a host migration while holding a crooked throwing knife, then you will throw the knife and the screen will stay tilted a little until you die.

-Attack Faster with the Riot Shield by pressing the equipment button and then the switch weapon button really fast right after you strike. Then it resets it and you can attack again. It doesn't work if you don't have any equipment though, unless you are using C4.

-Double Tap reload to detonate C4.

One thing I would say is to people who don't get a lot of kills, stop using high kill streak rewards. Use low kill streak rewards like U.A.V. (3 kills), predator missile (5 kills), harrier strike (7 kills).

U.A.V. is more important on Hardcore mode but is always useful in finding enemies and thereby leading you to higher kill streaks.

Or, use the 5 6 7 kill streak: Predator Missile, Precision Air Strike, Harriers/Attack Helicopter. This way each kill streak reward leads to the next one. All you have to do to complete this kill streak set is get one kill with the predator and one kill with the Precision strike. Then you get a chopper or Harrier for more kills and you can hide so you don't die. Until they shoot it down or whatever.

(Also, if you use the hardline perk that's one less kill for the whole thing. and you will turn a 4 kill streak into at least a 7 kill streak very easily).

Also, I just a read a post where someone complained about people not being able to aim air strikes.

So here's what you do:

1) Take out your precision air strike suitcase thing and look at the map.

Wait until someone shoots, they will show up as a red dot on the map.

Try to figure out which direction they are moving in and place the air strike ahead of them since it will take a second for the air strike to land.

or 2)

Walk around the map yourself until you find where action is happening. if you are not on hardcore you can place the attack right where you see the enemy. Use the arrow on the air strike map to determine where you are by looking at the yellow arrow (that's you).

Of course you could just shoot once you see them but the chances are there are more enemies nearby that you can kill with the airstrike.

Note: If you are on hardcore you will have to make sure that no green arrows are there so you don't kill team mates. You will lose points and your teammates might kill you in retaliation and that will ruin your kill streak.

In all seriousness, here are a couple of very basic tactics/strategies that I use... not necessarily to benefit myself, but my team in general (and to gain some respect with other players):

- if you see a teammate using a killstreak reward that leaves them vulnerable, for God sakes, crouch down in front of them to protect them, so they have a better chance to increase their streak

- if your team has a lone sniper somewhere in the map, stay well clear of them as to not give away their position. Often, I'll stay a little ways away to cover their six, and at the same time draw any attention to myself as to help keep the sniper 'hidden'

- if you are following a teammate into a building/room, please don't throw flash/stun grenades in over their head

- if the enemy throws up an attack-type killstreak reward, don't run into the huddle with the other six people on your team

- if you are playing on a team that all like to follow each other in the same direction, do something different and go a different route

- if you are playing fire-team style, keep your team to two (max three) players as to minimize the risk of enemy multi-kills. Also follow each other in a staggered pattern, not single file

- if a teammate ahead of you runs around a corner and gets tagged, don't blindly follow them. Wait a few seconds to see if the enemy moves first

- when a teammate throws a care package, don't steal it. Instead, try to flank around it, get into a good spot and protect it. I'm surprised by how many people on the opfor run straight across the middle of the map just to steal a crate someone on your team dropped

- do use your predator missiles to take down enemy rewards. Although you don't get a kill, it is better for your team

- just because you have a killstreak reward does *not* mean that you have to use it as soon as you get it. I see many people hitting the trigger on the pred or harrier right in the very midst of a close-range knife fight, and they wonder why they never get their CG or spooky Learn to have patience. It is very often that I get my AC-130 while I'm still holding my predator and my harriers, just because I haven't found an opportune time to use them.

If you're on a team on which you don't know the other players, save your UAV (if you use it) for when you know an enemy has a vulnerable reward up, when it just feels that the other team is camping, or if you know that a teammate has an airstrike ready to go.

Save your counter-UAV for when the other team uses a UAV. Instead of blindly using a pred, save it for when you *know* that a group of enemies is herding in one area, same goes with harriers. Using your ksr in this fashion make it much easier to achieve the next one (pred, harrier and spooky for me).

The most important thing for me is communication. Yes, I mute one hell of a lot of players, but there are a lot of decent people who will respect you and follow your lead if you give clear, concise, accurate and reliable intel via the mic in a respectable manner. In fact, I often find that when I do this, other teammates will follow suit which makes for a really fun round where you come out of it like you've bonded with the other team members, and good communication almost always results in pwnage.

Oh, and one more thing... don't whine and bitch about another person's play style just because you were killed. Every tactic that the game allows is valid, so get over it. Being angry and whiny after every death is one way to be certain that the game is no longer fun for you, and you are adding undue stress to a bad round that you're likely already having. Acting this way can also be demoralizing for your teammates (but you're already muted, so it doesn't matter much). As long as nobody is cheating, I welcome any and all tactics.

they could destory and get more points, but if they want the the kill

Always have OMA+Riot Shield as a spare class, so you switch to that and they cant kill you when you swawn by tac insertion, melee them twice then switch to your usual class with OMA.

When using a Sniper Rifle, it's always best to crouch while aiming your UMP45 and firing in short, half second bursts.

OMALOL tubing is probably the most skilled thing in this game, use it, and love it. Now. See Voodoo's informative and comprehensive guide on it Here.

If playing TDM, play selfish like everyone else does. Fuck their killstreaks, their camping spots, their KDR, and their vulnerability. Focus on yourself and getting kills. Don't rush, one less death for you helps your KDR and the scoreboard. If you are playing a team based game, then it's a different story.

Use the TAR-21 more. Statistically it's the best assault rifle. Silence the beast for a stealthy approach, or FMJ it for some beastly quick kills diversely.

Statistically, the FAL is the best assault rifle actually.

The UMP is not a sniper anymore than the M4, Famas, or ACR are.
...IDK it would be 1/6th more team based if you played it like that IMO.
Play team tactical, most people use mics and it becomes team based.

EDIT:
1) If you're gonna use the ACR, use the M4A1, It has nearly the same recoil, but a slightly faster fire-rate.
2)when using the riot shield, use a pistol or M93, because of their fast switch times.
3) don't reload after every kill.
4) Use semtex, not frag
5) claymores are better than tactical insertions
6) Blast shield works better if the explosion is in front of you
7) Crouch with the riot shield to protect your feet
8) Don't use melee, hipfire, You'll get kills consistently, and you don't have to use commando, rather use steady aim, or ninja.

When you get killed,press the start button. You'll see the whole layout of the map any the yellow arrow is the person that killed you,and the other green arrow is his team mates. Try and remember where they are goin coz this will last for only about 5 seconds. I use it in TDM,Dom,Dem and stuff..

So you can actually see the enemies radar at the time of the kill if you press start in the killcam....sweet

Improve Your Sniping Skills

Weapon:
It's usefull to choose an INTERVENTION or a BARRETT .50CAL,
for hardcore mode it's usefull to use a WA2000 or a M21 EBR.


Attachement & Perk:
Attachement:
FMJ for Bullet Penetration (shooting trough walls)
or Thermal Scope (wasteland)

Perks:
- Sleight of Hand (Pro)
- Stopping Power (Pro)
- Steady Aim (Pro)


Things you've got to learn:
- Spawn Points and Map:
If you know the spawn point you kan already scope to it and shoot when somebody shows up.
- Your Sensitivity:
Choose your sensitivity on the way you like it. (Customize it)


Handy Tips:
- Use secondary weapons:
When your running to the spot you like, equip your secondary for close combat.
- Don't ever think about close combat with a assault or sub machine, he's probably better and shoots you, so just run away and try to shoot him a bit farther or wait around a corner.
- If an enemy is running behind a lower wall and you don't have the FMJ? Just jump and shoot.
- Use/Buy a good headset, you'll be able to hear when an enemy is running near you.
- Stay on the edge of the map, you'll be vulnerable in the center.
- Don't stay on one camping spot, your anemy will come back to take his revenge so change your spot to kill him over and over when he comes back.
