Default Do you believe in aimbots?

Ok, a lot of people tell me I'm crazy, but I swear I have witnessed aimbots in TDM. I give a good shot props, because my accuracy is in the toilet, but I've seen people shooting through walls hitting targets, as soon as they look down the sites the gun jumps to a person, etc, just stuff that is humanly impossible. So, has anyone else experienced this problem?

Also, I've been getting in a lot of matches with people using a modded controller with the FAL and EBR. I used the FAL myself and like to think that I'm a pretty fast shot, so I know what its limitations are. Anyone else been seeing a lot of this?

They exist, but aimbots are relatively rare on console.

I'm sure someone by the name of Bossman does, since I nailed him via headshot through the rock about 6 times in an FFA on Fuel randomly across the map. Actually got a hackusation... on PS3.

EDIT: I did not have an aimbot, it was piss easy and I would expect the usual 8 year old MW2 player to be able to do this.

Never seen them on PS3 but I used to believe in Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy and God, needless to say, I grew up.

Thats what I thought too! But Idk how else to explain some of these shots people are getting off. I mean people doing a complete about-face and bam head shot, so fast on the kill cam you can miss it.

Well is it impossible due to how well its built, or that people are simply not trying to hack PS3.

Think of it as Linux OS. Its not immune to viruses and there are few viruses out there for it but its so diluted hardly anyone gets their system corrupted.

its because the ps3 has soo much advanced security on it that a simple xbox 360 hack method will do jack on it

What you are reffering to is the interal workings of the PS3's OS and you are right: there are no known instances where the OS has been reverse engineered.

The consoles hacks are no-way near as complex or advanced as PC hacks but THEY DO EXIST. The SP aimbots/wallhacks are a long way ahead of the MP aimbots/wallhacks in terms of features and their UI etc. However since there are advanced SP wallhacks and primitive MP wallhacks it is clear one of the two major hack-building hurdles (finding the bus address for the piece of RAM which player locations go through) has been mostly overcome and that the biggest thing that stands in the way at the moment is any online differences or protection measures that exist. The point I am trying to make: the PS3 is not hack free. It's not hack-infested by any stretch of the imagination, but MP aimbots/wallhacks DO exist.

Just search "PS3 MW2 aimbot" on youtube. If you want to feel better, then search "xbox 360 mw2 aimbot" on youtube - the 360 hacks seem to be much more advanced.

The overwhelming majority of "hacks" are not impossible, nor has anything been invented (as far as I am aware) that is "hack proof," it's purely a case of some systems are more secure than others. The titanic was, for example, clearly not un-sinkable it was "merely" much harder to sink than other ships of the same period. Likewise the AK47 is not indestructable, it's just a lot tougher to valid inoperable than some of the competition.

I am not sure when Xbox has been so heavily hacked. I would venture to guess that its more profitable to do so in some shape or form.

abc u and i both know that sp hacks have nothing to do with the console but editing save game data.

and seeing as there has been no proof (unless you prove me wrong) of mp hacks for the ps3 my point still stands that it is still impossible, ok no one has yet hacked a ps3 online.

As far as the youtube proof goes all of those videos either have in the description "may not work" or peoples comments are "ive done everything u said and its not working" "or email how to do it" but most are "download this software i promise its not full of viruses, even though it would make a easy oppotunity to infect your computer"

Wow, you really do know your stuff. Thank you! Fenny keeps screaming its impossible its impossible prove it can be done prove it can be done...why don't you prove it CAN'T be done? I'm no expert on how this damn system works, but I know what I see, and what I see is people magically knowing where people are behind walls, people aiming way too fast, people about-facing getting head shots at the speed of light. Its rare that it happens but I've seen it enough to suspect a few people DO have something to aid their aim. I just wanted to know if a large number of people have noticed it as well, I don't need a lecture of how "impossible" it is. Start your own thread of why the aimbot can't exist
