I was on SnD yesterday and noticed a guy using the Mp5k with CB instead of SP. I found this odd until I saw how quickly he was killing people.

It seems that SP has minimal effect on the Mp5k silenced. I decided to try this class and did alot better than normal thanks to me being invisible to radar and air support.

Thoughts?

I would assume since it has such a fast ROF at close range as long as you're hitting the target they're pretty much dead, with or without SP.

I haven't used the MP5K much, but I'll give this a try. Do you ever attach rapid fire?

Meh its amazing with RF in close range but IMO the silencer is probably the best bet

RF on the MP5 is awesome. It will still kill pretty fast with a silencer, but your damage gets reduced to 20 (5 shots without SP) pretty darn quickly.

Eh, I've never had that good of luck with it without SP, but I have pretty bad lag most of the time, so that might have something to do with it. Personally, I like the Mp5K with FMJ or Ext. Mags with Marathon, SP, Ninja.

in my experience with the silencer, the staying off the radar is more of a benefit that taking 5 shots to kill. Because with the MP5 it seems like you're firing 5 shots at once lol.

And as far as RF goes, it's great but it kinda turns the MP5 from a medium-close range weapon to a close-range weapon

I see... I'll try out rapid fire and silencer and see which I prefer. Thanks for the feedback.

All smg(s) are good without SP,i usually use the Ump 45 for the Stealth class though. I have tried Mp5k silencer w/ CB and its alright.

The mp5k does 40 - 20 damage, so it's a very good gun in close combat due to it's high rof. But after x amount of feets (iirc it's 18 feet) you drop to 20 damage. Without sp then it's a 5 shot kill and you'll lose most battles against people. Though Cold-blooded is a great perk I'd rather use Lightweight so that you can enhance the weapon to it's full potential, i.e. close range.

I generally use the MP5K silenced, but with SP, I don't mind showing up on Gaydar, because you can shoot it down, but showing up everytime I rape the enemy just isn't cool...

The MP5k is, in my opinion, probably the best gun for Search and Destroy. The fire rate is probably one of the highest with any gun in the game, and, on top of that, it has very nice iron sights. From close range, it can't be matched.

Cold Blooded is actually quite common in Search and Destroy, even on fairly weak guns.

Great combo.

only guns i have run w/o sp are the fal and ump, unless i am playing hardcore. i prefer hardline or coldblooded with those.

might have to try mp5k w/o sp.

I use it on my danger close thumper class w/out SP and with RF. Really tears shit up up close and I've got the tube for distances.

I like to use MPk5 with RF, scavenger, SP (for the Spas), SA. I mainly use that set up in Highrise and it works wonders for me. I cover and capture Alpha and Charlie and stick to the lower level and just go back and forth.

For HC SnD I like the Vector w/silencer and marathon, lightweight, ninja.
