Hello, if you're like me, you hate to get a care package or emergency airdrop only to find that your crate or most of your crates are ammo instead of something more useful. While I understand that sometimes extra ammo would be useful, neither I or my friends have ever gotten an ammo crate when it would have actually done us some good. As such I and said friends have started an online petition to request the removing of that possibility from the game. Let's think about it for a second:
1) Petition to have dedicated servers on PC, a very significant issue and one which got the signatures of a vast majority of PC players was ignored.
2) Black Ops is coming out in ~2 months.

therefore: Nothing will happen. Guaranteed.

No, it's not an opinion. It's the truth. IW have stated that there's going to be one more patch (which is almost done and awaiting polishing, I believe). After that, nothing will be fixed.

Not that they really fixed much to start with.

Treyarch may have taken this into consideration, but I doubt it. Wait until Black Ops has been out a while and see how they've balanced the care package. Might be better, if not then a petition then might change something.

Modern Warfare 2 is a lost cause.

I agree, I get ammo a lot from Care Packages, which is the main reason I've stopped using Care Packages altogether. But with this petition you won't get any results. 1) Infinity Ward doesn't care at all what it's customers think. 2) Black Ops will be released very soon and therefore there is no reason to change anything.

I hate the ammo drop. I stopped using care packages, because I always get so nervous when I call it in that I jinx myself. Plus whenever I get ammo, I always die right afterwards, no matter what. Predator is better.

Removing the ammo would destroy the point of Care Packages. They are meant to be a gamble not just a free hand out to those unable to get higher killstreaks the proper way.

If you want a guaranteed Predator equip that killstreak & earn it.

Care packages are a joke killstreak. Getting a 11 killstreak reward at 4 kills? It's not fair to the players who must fight for their rewards. It's broken in Search when everyone can get a pavelow or ac-130 after one round when they don't deserve it. I hope that they don't change a thing. Although I understand the cp's purpose in the game it's not exactly the best thing about mw2 and balance.

How about taking the god damn choppers and ac130's out of the carepackages rather than the ammo. As said, a carepackage is a gamble. I think anything that random should not be in a game like this, so i completely disagree on removing the ammo. Why don't you go out and make a petition that asks for only pavelows choppers and ac's in the carepackages !

I'm going with the whole 'it's a gambling killstreak' response too. That's why it's put in there.

I think Care Packages are actually very balanced as they are.

If it bothers you that much, just don't claim your ammo filled care package and leave it for a teammate and be happy with the exp

Better yet, leave it and be glad about all the free kills you get because the enemy team is trying to take it. When I was using CP I rarely took it right away but often waited 'till at least one enemy showed up. Got quite some kills out of this one.

I love how people go crazy when a CP is unreachable.
It's hilarious to see them running around searching for it when it's somewhere high above, or keep jumping on obstacles when it's simply out of range. Had it once on Favela when a guy placed it on a fence at the side of the map. Nobody could reach it, but they just kept trying! (and dying )

But getting a little OT here. Personally I don't like CP because I do feel it is overpowered. (Just like I think that most killstreaks are overpowered) So I think ammo should absolutely stay in them, and should actually show up more, not less!
