Default General Courtesy

Why, whenever I play this and almost any game, nobody gives two shits about anyone else. I'm going to mention a few things so read up.
---
1. Stealth
Alright, lets say you're trying to be stealth and going around the enemy, and all of a sudden a teammate comes up right next to you, and randomly fires off a whole clip without a silencer. Good Job, whoever that was just game your position away and noob tubes will be flying your direction.

Courtesy: Don't make random shot to give your teammates position away.
---
2. Care Package
Killstreaks, everyone wants them and literally kill each other for them, whenever I get a care package and call it in, it's one huge target to the enemy team. Sometimes people die and the enemy steals their care package, sometimes even teammates in hardcore steal them (wow). Personally, whenever a teammate dies with care package, I watch it for them until they come back and get it.

Courtesy: Don't just hoard your teammates care package, if possible, watch it for them until they come back.
---
3. Enemy Campers
People camp, it's a part of the game, but if there is a space that is difficult to get to and lets the enemy rack up kills, don't ignore it, work to try and stop that person. For example a few games ago I was playing tdm in highrise, and someone got to the top of the roof, set up a tactical insertion, and sniped away. For those who don't know, the top of the crane is a very easy spot to pick off the sniper, and his insertion. What did my team do? Nothing. He camped up there the whole game. I was the only one to try anything, but got killed repeatedly because of lack of help.

Courtesy: Work together to get rid of difficult players, especially campers.
---
4. Team Killing
This one probably happens a lot to people who play hardcore. Someone will not pay attention and just fire away, especially with killstreaks such as chopper gunner and AC-130, mostly on chopper gunner since people are used to just holding down the trigger. Others never bother to event look at the name and just fire away, ending up killing fellow teammates, and this can be very frustrating.

Courtesy: Try to slow down on the trigger finger, always watch your teammates, and if you do happen to kill one, please send a message of apology (or if you have a mic just say it).
---
5. Objective Games
I see this so often. During objective games such as Domination and Sabotage and whatnot, people wont even try for the objective. They will just go off somewhere and camp, sometimes aiming for killstreaks, and end up being no use for their team. I can't stress enough that this is mostly a team game, so why can't people act like it?

Courtesy: When playing an objective game, actually go for the objective. If you need to camp you can at least defend.
---
6. Music
This gets annoying over and over. Some people have their mic on and booming music at the same time. not only is this annoying to hear, but you can't even hear what the guy is trying to say most of the time over the music. This also applies for high volume on the television when you play.

Courtesy: When listening to music, keep the volume of the music low so it doesn't bother other players, also talk loud and clear so everyone can hear you.
---
7. Killstreaks
One thing that will annoy many players is when a killstreak is out, to not go near them. If a predator missile is out, don't run towards your teammate, this will only cause for both of you to die if you get targeted, also if chopper gunner or AC-130 is out, don't hug other people too, some have cold blooded and wont get targeted, unless a big red square is right next to them.

Courtesy: Don't run right next to teammates when Predator missile, Chopper Gunner, or AC-130 is out.
---
8. Lagging
Sometimes when you walk right into a player, it will lag them a bit. This one is simple, don't run into your team, especially into doorways. Sometimes they'll lag a bit and end up getting killed.

Courtesy: Don't walk right into teammates.
---
I'll just have these six even though there are a lot more, and if you have any I didn't go over, feel free to post your own.

I only play the flags in the beginning of domination so that my team can spawn lock and have a good time making peope rage quit for 10 minutes but i do get sick and tired when i join a session late, my team is on the recieving end of a spawn lock and rather than run out and capture fags for a turn around they'd rather camp and never get a killstreak high enough to benefit the team.

Honestly dude i know where your coming from but most of these kind of players common responce is something along the lines of "well i payed £40 for my mw2 game so i'll pay it however i like" my point being, why come into a team based game and play purely for your own benefit.

Somethings will never change regardless of time.

Those are all reasons that I've started playing FFA unless I'm with a party. Very rarely will you get with a team that is worth playing with.

Every match that I have played where there is a random player on my team, they will fire off several rounds at the begining. And its usually a sniper. Yah good job dude you leet no scoped that concrete block in front of you like none other. Its a a jackass move but you take it for granted and move along. As far as noob tubes flying at you, no one has to fire a single shot to have your spawn tubed. People have learned the initial spawn spots and I get out of that spot as fast as I can since there will be a tube flying there. This will continue in MW2 and will carry over into black ops. Courtesy towards your teamates ha! If there was friendy fire on the guy giving away your teams positon would like nothing more than to team kill all day. Don't expect this to change.

Don't bother with care packages. And do not expect your team to keep them safe for you. Oh hell if you don't play with friends its a giant team FFA in all gametypes. I gotts get mine is a mentality in MW2.

Nah ignorning the spot and making them bored and come out of their holes works much better. Let your team know where the guy is holed up at and move on. Most maps are big enough that there are other areas to bring the fight to. If there is a one way enterance into the room and there is a guy just camping the ever living hell out of it, leave that spot alone. The more people he kills in there, the longer he stays there and you are feeding him killstreaks. Most people are impatient and if you leave that spot alone they will crawl out of there looking for kills. Some won't most will. Most people by now know these spots on the map and avoid them like plague. Take for example estate. We had this team who camped the house hard core the first game. We played estate again. We never went into the house and basically set up a perimeter around it. It was a boring game but one by one they kept inching out and getting their heads blown off by sniper fire. As for highrise and top of the building. Get underneath the building where he can't get angle on you and chuck semtex up there. That huge fuel tank on top of building is death sentence for him and his tac insert.

If he is running AC-130 or CG in hardcore, team killing and how his teamates feel about it, is the last thing on this guys mind. Especially since anyone with a brain runs CB on hardcore.

Most objective games are not about capturing objective. Most of them have one objective, the nuke hunt. That or getting monsterous kills with AC-130 and CG since you get to spawn to your death on the one flag they are letting you keep. Don't go into objective gametypes by yourself and expect a team of randoms to just gel into cohesive unit. I am not saying you can't do well doing that, but its not a common occurance.

Meh, idiots are idiots and they will get you killed. Part of the game. Next game move on find another lobby.

No what you do here is have courtesy yourself and let them walk through that door first. Let them be the bait to see if there is enemy camping corners.

End of wall of text!

I do this a lot. If I'm outside a doorway and I'm sure there's an enemy inside, I wait for a teammate to go in first. Even if that means waiting for a while. Then I go in and clean house.

OT: You're not going to find much courtesy in a game dominated by casual players (putting it kindly). If you want courtest join a clan or only play with friends.

And if you have a mic turn it off if your not talkin to the team. Dont wanna hear your momma, g/f, b/f, or whatever in the background. Or not even you breatheing hard, cussing the game, or deep throating your mic as it sounds. So anoyying

That doesn't mean you can't add grammar so that normal people can understand it.

I really hate people running beside me/into me, cause if this happens I will ALWAYS take another route, which usually means I get killed because I do things I don't plan on doing/have to take the crappy way instead of the usual way I go which usually works best for me.

tbh, im a real asshole sometimes... like when im bored sometimes i go to a building that has like one or two entrances and stand near it... then when a teammate tries to go through i step in front and say something like "sorry, private function. use the back door"

they r likeOMGWTFUDIK

also if someone's being ghey i shoot near them endlessly, spacing out the 100 rounds of the RPD so we're constantly on the radar.

But when I want to be nice, I actually do guard a teammates care package.

Thats the ONE Thing I've Always wished for. To play with a team, who knows what there doing/talking about. JUST talks about tactics, and just sounds realistic. But no one is mature or smart enough to do that. You'll get one person like that if your lucky.

People play the game to have fun, not be super serious. I've played in fairly competitive settings and used VoIP for tactics and not just pissing around but there's always gonna be joking around, that's what people do when they play games. Very few people find talking in a "Covering Left Flank, Got Your Back Red Leader" the whole time a fun and comfortable way to talk for a whole game so people interject with humour.

Kinda reminds me of some Pub* videos that ViS recorded. Especially in the Clutch, Joo, Clutch video. They help each other out, yet they're like singing Hotel Room Service and other shenanigans as well... I sometimes get good teammates who enjoy helping each other out, it's really awesome. We always know where the enemy is or where they're heading to, because we call out their location if we cant kill them.

I do most of these, (i don't have a mic, so i don't worry about those), except number three, which im guilty of repeatedely. >.>. After reading this, i'll stop doing that, but most of the other things i already do. (And im esspecialy angry at people who don't even do anything during objective games. Annoys me greatly. ) It feels like im the only one planting the bomb or trying to defuse it.
