Is there a certain perk/ attachment that makes you do worse than you normally would with a gun, no real reason, it's just a mental thing. I know for me there are quite a few "mental handicaps" that make me have to change my play style.

When using any sight other than iron on an FAL, I can't shoot nearly as fast
When using hardline instead of any other non SP perk, I do horrible
I can't use the silencer on the P90
I do worse with pistols when I have the tac knife on

There's many more, but I can't think of them at the moment.

So what are yours, if you have any?

That's probably not a mental reason...

Sometimes when i put thermal on an MP5K i dont do so well.
Or when i use an assault rifle with any attachment other than the tube.

^Pah ha ha ha lolololol.^ True, ACOG on an Uzi just makes me do poopy =P But in all seriousness, I don't like any sights. I do better with silencers or fmj/extended mags, blah blah

after I bought my first ever set of turtle bitches I can't stand playing with any third tier perk other than ninja pro. I recently prestiged and played horribly until I unlocked it. Also, I never thought i would say this when I first started playing cod4 but I can't stand anything other than Iron sights.

this is my first post here, but anyway, my only mental handicap is getting omalol`d while on a killstreak. Which causes me to bring out my GET THAT TUBER class (marathon dngr close sitrep scar tube attached and rpg). completly obsessed with payback. then i end with a horrible score

try f2000 with acog, or uzi rapid fire with acog, thats just hard to use but fun...

But to answer your question, yes I have that problem, and it always happens with hardline and it also use to happen with cold blooded but I got over it, yes I got over a mental block lol....

Welcome to the Forum JayCabay. And btw, I feel your pain. I just quit the game when I get omaloled. Another thing that mentally handicaps me is when I switch between Reach and MW2. The sensitivity messes with me and they're completely different play styles. Mr knowing that, I always play worse :/ But that's when I just start dickin around

Yes I agree, switching between Reach and CoD, and it is really only Halo for me, other games do not bother me for some odd reason. I Have only played Reach a couple of times, but every time I switch 10 sensitivity seems like 6 or 7 on MW2....

Yea, the sensitivity is annoying. I was talking to Ninja about this in his xbox thread. The 10 on Reach feels soooo slow coming from 10 on MW2.

I play on PS3 and even switching to XBOX and playing MW2 mess's me up because the triggers are reversed. And also to me the sticks on the xbox seem clunky haha...But yeah its weird.

Sniping with Lightweight makes you get hell of alot more hitmarkers, but using cold-blooded I get almost none.. it's so effin annoying :< Soh Pro, L pro = beast zoom in time. Regularly using sp though..

A lot of the time I suffer from beginner's luck, in that my first game is brilliant (last night it was 19-2 FFA), then I slide rapidly after that until I end on 1:1 ratio. I don't think fatigue sets in that quickly, it's probably the rage getting the better of me as I start to rush more and care less.

Can't say any of that affects me. I can say without a doubt though that excessive intoxication contributed by alcohol gives me a very high mental handicap.

If using the FAMAS or the SCAR, i do completely HORRIBLE if using an ACOG scope, i must use the Red Dot.

I used to not be able to kill anyone with the Fal when equiped with a silencer.

I can't kill anyone with the magnum with bullets UNLESS i have a tac-knife attachment.

Since starting to use Sitrep Pro, I cannot stand using Ninja in team games because of teammates footsteps and am constantly adsing teammates.

I cannot use any optic on the Scar, Aug, AK-47.

I hate the ACR unless silenced.

I used to do awesome with the Tar silenced. Now I cant stand it unless I have extended mags.

when i don't have sitrep on. i am so use to having it on, that when i don't, i rush into rooms without checking for claymores and get killed more than usual.

Ha, same with me, I'm a total revenge whore, and they end up killing me 6-7 more times before I finally outsmart them, or just get plain lucky.

And I'm surprised my first thread actually got replies lol

A few other mental things for me,

I'm crap when using holo on F2000
I only do good with the SCAR-H when using irons
Can only using the TAR w/out SP when using a RDS or silencer.
