I can't really see why u would need it in hardcore unless for challenges, and you wouldn't play hardcore for getting challenges

There's no reason not to use it in HC. Then again, there is no reason to play HC itself, at all.

well alot of people, after hearing a shot, check their maps on hardcore (similar to search and destroy), so a silencer can be useful

In HC, using a silencer is pretty much your only option. It still gives you a OHK without SP, and there are no other perks which give you any benefit. FMJ is pretty pointless due to the very low health.

Then you have to play smart, only do it when you're in cover. Not be an idiot running around pressing start everytime you hear a shot. Use your ears as well as your eyes.

It's not hard to do.

M21 EBR silenced is a beast even w/o stopping power.

Personally, I think Silenced Snipers suck. Especially since I'm a long range sniper.

Barrett and WA are okay silenced snipers since they have the same OHK areas in Core: Chest and up.

players can't appreciate anything nowadays-IW made an awesome game but just because it was that good everybody started complaining about something!!

This thread is hilarious.

Silencing a sniper rifle in stock makes silenced assult rifles better at their job.

Silencing a sniper rifle in HC presents no loss in anything at all. As Wunda said, there is literally no reason not to do so as it eliminates your opponents' means of locating you via sound sight and the map when you fire.

I silence the WA2000 when I get it and then use that, although I've only played with it enough to get mastery and I've never used the M21 because I don't really play with snipers alot. I would use a silenced M21 though if I would be to play with it. As for the HC point, I'd always use a silencer in HC, it's quite self-explanatory.

Silence it for fun if you like, but to me CB no silencer would be a better option, behind just no silencer obviously.
