Aaaaaargh...Rage.

I fucking hate this map.

Why cant i get to grips with it? I finish in the bottom 3 nearly every time on this map. All other maps..fine. Rundown, i seriously suck.

Any tips for this map?

4B - The Drugstore.
People normally make the mistake of camping in the building itself but the ideal spot is directly outside it. Use the wall separating it from the "Fish Market". Generally players will rush from 2B (or the spawn at 2A) & with this spot you can take on an entire enemy team & win with relative ease. You're pretty much guaranteed to get a nuke if you do it right.

If you do go inside the building, on the top floor if you climb onto a table (or something - I forget) you can snipe players camping at the "Store" in 2C. Most won't even see you.

3C - The Neighborhood.
This is a well known spot. Going on the top floor will providing a good vantage point over the middle & lower bridges at the start of a game. It won't take long for players to rush the building and/or throw nades/toobs/justinbieber in there so be ready. I recommend retreating to the Stable or Villa (2D) once you get killstreaks in the air.

Sit there with an RPD (other LMG's are available) and shoot anything that comes over that bridge.

I've tried a couple.

Firstly tried sniping

Barret (FMJ)
PP2000 (gives some capability at short to mid range combat)
Claymore
Stun

SoH (pro), SP, Ninja

Had some success with this, but found that there are not that many long sightlines and without a silencer on the Barret (which i think renders it almost to utter shitness, even with SP)...you show up like a beacon for Sniper hunters..

Secondly tried more of a rushing class

Failed fairly epically with both...trust me, I do 'ok' on most maps...not Rundown though. grr

I tried to snipe on Rundown myself.....yeah not really all that good.

Tar silenced is good if you can keep sneaking into their spawn when they are not paying attention and just going to work.
I've had success running silenced Famas on this map and just running back and worth between bridges droping people.

Free for all? Just constantly be in cover. I normally find that the most action takes place at around 2 and 3B. Just do not run down the middle, keep hidden. It works for me, I do not know your playing style though.

For search I normally stick around 3B,C,D and 4B,C....Just come around the back. But the drug store is constantly being sniped at if you are in the top. So take a quick peak out from the bottom and jump into the swamp and up the stairs and make your way up or around to the campers and flank. Works for me...Hope it does for you, cheers...

If you spawn A side, run to the bottom floor window that looks out on to the bridge (not dom B bridge) and you can usually get some guys crossing the bridge or in the sniper building that faces you. If you spawn C side you can tube A or through the waterway and flank them in spawn. I use a FAL with holo and akimbo raffica's or the ACR silenced. First loadout is SoH, SP and SA, second loadout with the ACR is scav, SP and SA. This is the only map I've ever gotten close to a nuke, last game played on it (with scrubs) was 33-4. It's one of my favorites.

Imunality

I run around with MLN and shoot people in the neck. If you notice that they're using UAV's just put on MCbN and repeat running over. The Famas is a great weapon on this map too. I love using it with the Red dot and picking of people camping on the opposite side.

Clock

The only reason I don't loathe this map beyond everything else is because I managed to get a 23 killstreak in FFA...

albeit by camping around the forest area and making it a death trap

I used to hate this map with a passion, but now it's becoming better.

What i do is usually get a stealth class (silencer and ninja pro), and rush around the outside of the map, but never anywhere near the chicken bridge, the smallest one at the top of the picture of the map.

I'll always run to the church, and run around the back to the enemy spawn. Using this tactic gets me scores like 20+-1 every time. I've had at least 3 failed flawlesses there...

Try going where people aren't going to expect you and try to find the people in all of the obvious spots like on that box near the villa or on the drug store house, also the side with the swamp is always better so try to be over there as much as possible

Rundown is my favorite map, but there are plenty of tutorials for all maps. youtube is your best friend, remember.

Avoid the middle bridge like the plague, the river is the place to be, stick around the edges of the map at all times.
