I could use some help with this gun. Picked it up and been running SoH, Lightweight and Ninja with Magnum as a secondary. I'm not a big fan of akimbo.
I keep getting tons of assists and can't seem to keep the damn thing on target. I'll admit I'm not used to the SMG/Lightweight combo so I get caught off guard alot running into rooms I shouldn't, etc. What are your tactics with it? |

I'd use it like I used any other SMG. Marathon, SP, Ninja/Commando.

Platy's setup is good if you don't like akimbo. I use them akimbo with SoH, SP and SA, and use akimbo G18 for secondary. This is one of my retarded CQC classes, it's a lot of fun but not a good killwhore class.

This is the only SMG I use with SoH + Sp. It's great at close + mid-range and not very bad at long range. Like most weapons you want to burst it at longer ranges. I'd suggest sticking to buildings and avoid the open areas since you will lose most gun-battles on longer ranges. I used it on FFA without a silencer since I run around I don't have to worry about staying hidden on the radar and it did great for me. A piece of advice would be that you should use FMJ with it, it has great iron sights and doesn't need the additional ones. I used it the most on Sub base and Highrise because there's lots of indoors. To get the 40 FMJ kills quickly, go beneath the computer room and camp up behind the "fence". You don't lose much damage through those but you will get a fmj kill when you shoot through it. I got ext. mags on it during the third Sub-base game I played.

Just stop missing. There is no information that applies to the Uzi which doesn't apply to any other gun so stop blaming the gun and blame yourself.

You use it by moving the target into the middle of your screen and clicking. You know, just like every other weapon. If you're doing poorly with it, you're either bad, not good enough to perform up to par with a crappy weapon or are suffering from a placebo effect and will most likely get over it after understanding and taking in this post.

The Mini-Uzi is one of my fav. smg's to use. I always use SP on it though. It cuts the bullets to kill from 4 to 3 at close/med. range (which is where you should be using it.) You said your getting a lot of assists with it, so try SP out on it. Just remember that you won't be able to aim as fast after sprinting as you can with LW pro, so keep that in mind.
And if you haven't tried them w/ akimbo, give them a whirl. They are pretty fun, but like ghost said, not a huge killwhore class. |

My setup:
Mini Uzi Silenced AA-12 w/ Grip Stuns Semtex Marathon Pro Cold Blooded Pro Ninja Pro Easy to run around the map killing people and it's great to have air support not be able to get you. I use the AA-12 because, if I enter a room or come from behind, you need a weapon that can take people out quick.

This, there's probably no secret or any trick that is going to change it, just keep using it with the setup you feel comfortable with(setup you're using or you use with another SMG) and keep using it and eventually you'll probably adapt to the different between it and other smgs.

Whilst I do agree with ViS to a certain extent, there are no way of telling one how to aim better. It's a feeling which'll come via experience. Just use it more and use Stopping power with it to increase your odds of getting a kill.
btw don't listen to colonialwill, he didn't suggest anything good. 1. Scavanger = you'll lose either mobility or the ADS time + quicker reload. You can always pick up other people's weapon and increase your versatile skills. 2. It's okay to use it but use whatever you prefer. 3. unnecessary as we're talking about the uzi 4. no, not with that class. |

I'm sorry but nobody can help you. If you notice an improvement at this point, you'll put it down to "finding the right class" instead of the time that you've spent getting used to the sound an feel of it while cycling through reams of nonsensical class suggestions. Do you also believe in horoscopes and the paranormal, perchance? |

The Mini-Uzi would be good if it weren't outclassed by all the other SMGs. Outdone at CQB by the MP5K, long range by the Vector, and every range by the UMP. No redeeming factors that I'm aware of.
If you really want to get the most out of it, Sleight-Light-Steady with Rapid Fire seems to do the job for me personally. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Stopping Power with Rapid Fire doesn't have much effect on the Uzi since the rate of fire's so fast.

^You got mixed up. The Vector and the UMP are the wrong way round (MP5k is right).
