Up to a couple of weeks ago I pretty much used the either the UMP or Tar - both silenced. My game was getting stale so I picked up the M16A4 and I'm doing pretty good. The 3 round burst took a little getting used too and I get creamed in close quarters but I stick to open areas I'm pretty darn good - 1 burst kills. I'm even sniping the snipers - it's accurate as hell. Loving it right now.

M16 is good stuff. I love it on maps with long lines of sight. Last night ran FAL and M9. Fun class, nothing special but M9 is pretty lulzy.

I got my first nuke with an M16 and I think one of my only 3 nukes, I dont like to nuke. But my point is, it is beast. So much fun too use, like you said snipe the snipers with it...

I actually prefer the FAMAS over the M16. It does a little less damage and the fire rate isn't too good in close quarters but it rapes at med to long range, with stopping power it is also a one burst kill and the gun is more accurate than the M16. My suggestion with either burst weapon is to use your secondary when you are going into a area where you could encounter a enemy too close to you for your weapon to be effective. I suggest pistols for the draw time.

@Yukimaru: Famas is entirely better than the M16. They have identical damage, fire rate and recoil, except it loses less damage over range. The sole advantage of the M16 is that it's bugged and has less recoil with the holo sight.

Close quarters either can own almost everything if you have SoH Pro and aim quickly.

Fuck your M16A4, I've just unlocked extended mags for the M240. What a fucking hoot.
Man I just love spraying a constant stream of bullets at people. Bling it up with a grip and this gun is a beast...love it.

Absolutely shit for CQC but a great laugh with all that ammo.

IDK what could've created the illusion that they have different fire rates. I tried it in a private match just now and they have ~ the same fire rate. Took approximately 4.2 seconds to empty a mag with both guns. My apologies :[

wasteland is where i got my m16 kick, i used to be rush the bunker then run the outskirts, but with the constant tubing of the bunker i stay out now and snipe with the m16 red dot sight. it absolutly rapes, now its my derail, wasteland, quarry, and rundown gun

For some reason i don't do well with the M16. It pisses me off, I always get sniped by it. It seems like one of those things where I don't do well with "OP" (overused) weapons (except the CommanTac® Knife) like the UMP
