Default Quickscoping or No...Poll

Basically do you consider yourself a Quickscoper(basically quickscope most every game) or not. The reason I'm doing this is because people are complaining about BO making qs'ing a thing of the past. Notable Black Ops Tweets (AskJD) They say that Quickscopers are the largest community of players in MW2. So, I was just wondering.

This is not an argument based thread just a simple yes or no.

It's a landslide.

Inb4 this turns into an argument between certain members of the community and the trolling begins, you know who you are.

Can't stand it, it's crap, it's just showing off, and no where near as hard as the ones who do it think it is.

It's frustrating to have the last guy on your team miss about 3 times on an enemy who can't even see them, to have him turn around kill them and cost us the round. Even when they do kill him it's still nothing special.

So what exactly is the change that makes QuickScoping not viable?

(need to know to decide)

I don't use sniper rifles in MW2 so I'm gonna say no. Not a quickscoper.

Define quickscope.

From what I understand it relies completely on Aim Assist so it would appear i'm incapable of being a quickscoper.

Hey, if you're a quickscoper, then the changes Treyarch are doing make CQC sniping harder - and if you pull it off, congrats. Usually quick-scopers are piss easy to kill, though. Also, unlike MW2, the maps seem to be a bit bigger and more open - similar to WaW, meaning snipers will be useful again. Hell, they were useful in WaW anyway, and the majority of them were just the R700, WWII style.

TreyArch's Definition: Getting your one-shot-kill while the screen is still BLACK from pulling up your sights.

I would not consider myself a quickscoper. But I don't particularly want to see it gimped annoying as it is.
Making this a (CIVIL) argument.

Quote:
When you first sight-in, your sights won't be perfectly center. You'll have to take a moment to adjust (like a real sniper).
I don't like this.
I think it's not so much the aiming dead centre but the sight raise time for snipers with SoH PRO.

I think the problem isn't so much the technique (?) but the application of it not as a last resort but a primary option

Can't say I'm too bothered by it. The comments made by the "quickscoping community" are hilarious and the biggest pro to this decision by Treyarch.

When using a Sniper Rifle, I will almost definitely use the technique at least once in a game. This is obviously down to the fact that it is the quickest and most effective way of getting a kill from medium range or less.

Actually, I have a video which pretty much gives you a perfect example.

Notice the different use of the techniques. There is a clear difference.

P.S. Ignore the context, it doesn't matter (and this is not being done for views...).

^ Thats how I snipe. Some people tell that its quickscoping, some tell me it isn't.

So many definitions that I don't care for.

Its obvious the "Quickscoping community" wants things to be easy as fuck (see: low health QS lobbies, incessant whining about hardscoping & of course the current predicament with Black Ops).

"Some people", being the CoD equivalent of teenagers who go into their nearest music store and buy a £200 BC Rich, immediately starting their music careers by learning metal rather than, you now, doing it right.

Then, we have the white knights who hate idiots but don't understand exactly what it is that makes them idiots, ala...

THEN, we have the people like Wunda, Fandom and myself who are obviously a minority on the internet. Do you even read our fucking posts detailing why describing quickscoping as a way of life makes you just as fucking retarded (I'm not even trolling. You are THAT stupid) as the Youtube kids that you so love to degrade?

It's all they do in a game, a lot of people do nothing but quickscope, so it pretty much is their "way of life" "hard scoping" is "noob" to them, everything but quickscoping is wrong/cheap to some people..

How do you want me to describe them?

I think getting into semantics about how the term quick-scoping originated is irrelevant in the situation. Basically the same as the term "rushing" (won't even go into this). Since we are talking about self-professed quick-scopers here in MW2 arguments to the contrary are pointless. I started this thread because MW2 "quick-scopers" are butt-hurt because Treyarch is attempting to eradicate the MW2 quick-scoping phenomena. They have stated in other forums that there are more "quick-scopers" out there than "normal" players.

That's because you're making the answer not fucking obvious. You're shooting down the common definition and making it complicated for the average mind. Sorry that we don't have transcendental intelligence like you. Answer my post.
