I cant get Black ops for a while. Will There still be people playing mw2? And Do you think black ops will be better?

Yeah, there will be people still plays MW2 when Black Ops come out. There still people plays CoD4, W@W, CoD1, CoD2, and so on.

As said, quite some people will still be playing Mw2 when black ops comes out. No one knows and no one could know whether black ops is going to be any better than Mw2 or any Call of Duty. It´s all down to personal opinion. What we can say is that it´s going to be new and hopefully refreshing !

It'll probably have more people still playing than CoD4 and WaW have at the moment. I'd say around Christmas time is when they'll be another significant drop in MW2 players, besides when the game first comes out.

I for one will not pick up MW2 for a LONG time. After weeks of either not playing anything, or playing GTA IV, I couldn't get into MW2. Hopefully it'll change when Black Ops comes out.

Pretty much, no matter how long you don't have Black Ops for, there will still be thousands, probably tens of thousands of people still playing MW2.

At the moment twice as many people are playing New Vegas than Modern Warfare 2 on PC. If I was at home I'd be one of them. ^_^

CS 1.6 is more popular than Modern Warfare 2 now too.

The PC population of MW2 will probably drop significantly.The consoles, well that may produce some intersting trends. Initially there will a drop, with people giving BO a shot. However, people will return to it and keep playing it. Some will do it because they do not like Black Ops, others will do it if they feel like they play better on MW2. I just might start keeping tabs on the Xbox population and the amount of people playing the game over the next few weeks. It could offer some intesting trends.

MW2 has two (main) things Black Ops doesn't, quick scoping (although the ability to do this on BO is arguable) and immensely powerful killstreaks that are easy to obtain but other than that BO was built on what made MW2 (and previous CoD games) successful but with a lot of minor changes and improvements.

I don't think MW2 will retain a moderate population.
