Sony Vegas 9 Pro is the best IMO. Its normally 600 bucks, but check out youtube (wink wink) to avoid that. It can be hard to learn at first, but stick with it, its a professional program.

Theres a bunch of vids on utube that can help u out with editing too.

I usually never edit my videos unless I add commentary or music, since uploading the video in its raw format provides optimal quality.

When I do edit, I use Sony Vegas 9 Pro, and render the file closest to its original form.

Lol, but I do use AAE sometimes for liquad slow mo affect. ( joehandsome style. )

I'm trying to get into 3DsMAX too, for some 3D text and such.

After getting tired of windows movie maker, i searched the forum and found this thread. Anyway, i downloaded sony vegas today and tried it out for 1 hour. It is sort of hard to lear how to use it but i watched a tutorial and made this test video

So far i like the feel of it, but it has a sorta steep learning curve imo

can you take a screen shot of your settings on vegas?
One on propetries and one on the render as tab?
