I want to have the option to turn off the aim assist. I'd prefer to play without it, so I have no one but myself to blame for missing my target...

Tracking without aim assist would be very difficult without buying a mouse. You could do it wit the sticks, but I suspect very badly.

you can turn off the aim assist... i used to play without it because it messed me up when i was sniping =P

No, you can't. I also thought you could also a while back but I was confusing the single player options with the multiplayer ones.
