Funny thing is, I killed the guy about 3 other times that game while he was trying to 360 qs/ns. I guess you only need one eh?

That's an ideal, but subtle, example of lag.

Pause at 0.06 - you have clearly reacted well enough and have got out of the way, you haven't been shot yet but you've just got behind the shed. Yet when you look at the killcam (which shows the game WITHOUT your lag) at 0.17 you find that actually, because you lag, you did not make it to cover in time. The difference is a split second but that split second made 3foot of the difference which in this case was literally the difference between life and death. Needless to say the higher the ping the worse this effect gets. The killcam was only about 3ft out so I'm guessing you had a ping on the good side of about 50ms. With the usual 150 - 200ms pings I get on IWnet I'm often 10 - 15 feet out of sync in killcam which on some occasions yields ridiclous deaths: on my screen I've fired a FAMAS burst then given up charged 5m and knifed yet with the lag-ignoring killcam (i.e. shows what actually happened) I'm dead before I even open fire.

Your ping to the host will vary every game.
