platy: made the video in literally 10 minutes after doing it. lucky, perhaps. but you probably wouldn't even attempt that shot because it's damn hard. honestly, i think it's a damn good shot. the reason being i died from the guy and revenge killed him. if it was just random spams i wouldn't even put it up.

When you can't see the person or indeed wether they are there or not and fire a tube "just in case". It's a spam.
Don't get me wrong. There is nothing wrong with that. Perfectly legitimate tactic. If you can't see the person though. It isn't a snipe.

skuh: but when you know that the guy's a sniper and has been trying to kill you all game for the hill and you fire 1 tube up there knowing that he'd be there, it's not a spam. a snipe by definition is also hitting something from far away, regardless of if you can see them or not.

A damn good shot? Dude, you blasted it straight up in the air. Not like you're super precise with it, it was a general knowledge of where the tube will land and hoping that the guy was in the right spot.

pantstofry: yeah, straight up in the air lands the tube on the hill, and depending on where you stand you can get it anywhere from the lip of the cliff to the very back. you know what, whatever. i enjoyed the guy's screams of "WTF YOU HACKER". jesus christ you hardcore mw2 people are picky... you watch a no scope and its "all skill" but something like this is all luck i suppose.

I'm not trying to put you down, but if you had been around a bit longer you would know that no scopes are not what impress the majority of people on this forum.
Also i was not knocking your vid but pointing out the title. You may say the definition is a shot far away wether you see it or not. Is that really what you are calling sniping? Far away. You don't have to see the target. You can just blind fire. Not many snipers would agree but fair enough.
What Pants said is right though. You hoped the guy was there. You didn't know. You also make it sound like you know exactly where the tube came down. Tell me and I will try it tonight.

Indeed, it was a funny couple of kills, but don't expect much praise for the conditions the game was in is what we're saying.

skuh: yay actual constructive feedback instead of "you suck" comments! i've since changed the title of the video, so thanks for the comment on that. also as for the sniping debate, if you know the sniper is there, then why not take the shot without exposing yourself? i knew where he was generally, in fact, the tube probably landed not far from where he was when he killed me. skuh, if you wanna know where tubes land/where to shoot tubes on afghan, add me, I Xiran I, and i'll be happy to give out a few pointers. on hardcore you can mortar basically any major spot from any other with a OMAtube class.

NinJa: well, i lol'd while killing the guy. just wasn't sure why everyone was bitching and ripping on it. if you have nothing to say then don't say anything, ppl don't have to be a bitch about it.

GhostHands: Lucky, yes, slightly. but you also have to know where those tubes are gonna land. i'll put it at 50/50 luck/skill. and 100% pissing the other guy off, which is mostly why i play mw2 anyway, that and xbox live is basically a phone with long distance without paying for long distance fees... also, not sure if you last comment was sarcastic or not.

It was an okay video, but calling it a snipe is pretty lame. It's funny that it was like a spawntube revenge twice, but being hardcore it makes for a quite boring video imho
