That's pretty much how 80% of SnD games end on console.

Haha, Yes platy you are right. On Ps3 atleast 4 out of the 5 games i play has some moron trying to quick scope or 360 for a "good kill" and then we lose because of it. Fuck my life..

I disagree, I think quickscoping is legitimate, but only to a certain extent. I mean if you display game play like the video shown in the thread, then it should be taken out. But people can actually do it right and use it to there advantage, and not to just look "bad ass". That is what I try to do at least.

I have to disagree there is absolutely no advantage to quickscoping over using something like the UMP or a Tar(or probably most guns really) quickscoping has little room for error, no one can guarantee hitting someone every time and if you miss your pretty much screwed against a fast firing, high damaging and fast moving gun such as the UMP. Especially on PC(which is supposed to make it harder due to the lack of aim assist.)

It seems to make people all of a sudden think they are so much better at the game, and that people who "hard scope" or as I like to call it snipe properly are crap.

You took me too literally, obviously using the UMP with marathon, stopping power, and commando or whatever is the best and no one can say it is not. The damage with math can clearly show it is.

But what I mean is for when I am playing. If you can do it and it works then it works. What classifies something that does, can be described as a couple of things. One, the best and you described the ump, which is true. But 2 would be what is best for me. And best for me is what I like to use and what works well for me, and that is quickscoping.

So I do not disagree with you when you say that quickscoping is stupid, because sure in hell it is, it just works for me and I have fun with it, and that is my definition of good, at least for me. So I am not saying you are wrong I am just clarifying.

But do you get what I mean? haha, kind of hard to explain...

wow what have i started?... but i every game likes to have a bit of realism to it, and when a sniper rifle is as effective as an SMG in close quarters (as some people can get REALLY good with QS), i think thats where i'm gonna draw the line

It's not a matter of sniper rifles being good at close range so much as it's about bads being bad at any range.
