Update: An Activision spokesperson has told 1UP, "There seems to be a great deal of speculation about the next Call of Duty project. Let me be clear that we are not revealing yet. Anything indicating otherwise is a hoax."
Original Story: Continuing the pattern of Call of Duty releases over the past several years, one would expect the next game in the Modern Warfare line of games to be coming later this year. We might very well see Modern Warfare 3 revealed early next week -- a website has been launched featuring a countdown set to end on Wednesday, March 2, at 7am PST.
Activision sent a pair of dog tags to That Videogame Blog, one containing the site's URL (findmakarov.com) and the phrase "End the War," and the other belonging to Lieutenant General Shepard, another Modern Warfare 2 antagonist.
