The Top Shooters of 2011 That Aren't Call of Duty

What other gunplay games to look forward to besides the COD juggernaut.

Shooters are to this generation what character-based platformers were to the sprite-based era. They're everywhere, some are better than others, and Call of Duty currently rules the roost. There is still some fair competition in the shooter space, but in terms of sheer profit and mindshare, it's hard to top Activision's little wunderkind.

While we wait for the looming announcement of the next sure-fire COD blockbuster, let's take a look at some of the other shooters vying for our attention this year. If we missed one, feel free to express your anticipation for another Not Call of Duty shooter in the comments below.
