Having generated more than $126,000 in auction proceeds,
Play For Japan has done a lot to support relief efforts in Japan since the devastating earthquake struck back in March. An extension of what's already been done, Play For Japan: The Album is another project looking to raise even more money for Japan. With the album ready to hit in June, a list of contributing composers was
released today.
Besides coordinator Akira Yamaoka (of Silent Hill fame), the album will also feature music from Nobuo Uematsu (who scored much of the Final Fantasy series), Koji Kondo (numerous Mario and Zelda games), and Sean Murray (Call of Duty: Black Ops).
The full list of composers follows below (along with album artwork done by Yoshitaka Amano, who has worked on countless Final Fantasy games). Make sure to look for the album when it launches on iTunes next month; all proceeds will be donated to the Japanese Red Cross.
