You'll be using Steam to play and manage
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 when it's released on PC later this year.
Valve announced today that Steamworks is being employed for the PC version of Modern Warfare 3. That's not a change from
Black Ops, which also used it, but it does come as good news for PC shooter fans considering what the game's most direct competition is doing.
Modern Warfare 3 will use Steamworks for the usual: to handle Achievements, auto-update the game, and so on. It'll be included no matter where you buy the game. For many, that's a good thing, but those with a disdain for Steam will be unable to avoid it unless they choose not to play the game altogether.
