How come every time i try to get in a lobby its hacked and I mean EVERYTIME I dont understand what is going on at all...

The people that are hacking hav the CLAN TAG ((DT)) just like like!!!!!

I cant even play anymore and I want to know what the dam deal is im getting pissed!!!!

It's simply a few people ruining it for everyone else. On the PC (where hacking would be inevitably expected once in a while) MW2 has absolutely awful anti-cheat software and as far as people are aware the PS3 & 360 have no anti-cheat software whatsoever. There are also other reasons to do with how MW2 is built which make it harder to get into non-hacked games than it should be, but that's another story.

Unfortunately... there is NOTHING you can do. Whilst the game puts you into hacked lobbies there is just nothing you can do to help yourself and these hacked lobbies have been happening err "a while" on PC and IW has showed no desire to do anything. Bottom line:

Until kids get bored of running hacked lobbies on MW2 you simply have to class that $50 as "down the bin" and play another game.

Well I just got the game and cant even play it im going to call sony or whoever and demand my money back or something to be done!!!!

A buddy of mine said it wasnt like this till ops came out i think they want you to buy the new game which is bullshit. They should still keep updates to keep the hacking from going on!

this hacking crap is just awful.


I've had a couple of these things happen in the fast, but today in was in 3-4 games straight. I finally quit playing, but got back online later I wanted to play. the first game there was a cheat, so we left the game and got in a new one. The new game booted us as soon as the opening countdown finished, and this was the result:

-My name went from this "ACCUSDillinger" to this [CUNT]ACCUSDillinger.
-My name was in red (not white)
-The font on the in-game leaderboard is all jacked up
-and i had a message on my ticker that said "You got fucking owned."
-I dont remember what my rating was
-All weapons completely reset to default setting (no attachments, etc) <--that just fucking sucks
This is such a cool game but there is so much cheating and there seems have been some jail breaking in the ps3's that let these script kiddies cheat. man! i have to start all over. and im searching for way to lock that down so this doesnt happen again.

I want to just try and find private matches so this wont happen again. I have to start all over, now.

Dude its been the same for me......but ive learned to live with it.....taunting the hacker on mic seems to make them leave....you should try it

I agree, the hacking was very minor before black ops came out. I also read somewhere that they typically do updates to prevent hacking. There hasn't been a single update since black ops came out and the hacking has absolutely ruined this game. I'm nearly positive that cod is allowing this to happen to force people to play the POS first shooter game known as black ops. I own both mwf2 and ops and I still play mwf2. I would rather spend 15 mins finding a hack free room then play ops, it's that bad. If some other first person shooter game would come out that compared I would leave cod and never come back after this garbage. It's bull and I know they have the capability of fixing it they just won't.

if your lucky like me you might be able to get out of it by some random happening, 'cause the same thing happened to me and there were plenty of times where i was sent to hacked servers but as i played on, it seemed to stop bringing me to hacked servers and now im fine. otherwise i suggest making a new account and ONLY playing with large groups of people in you party to minimize hacker parties.
