Hi Everyone.
(PS3) On Friday before i left for the weekend my son was prestige 5 and 45 towards his 6th. (hes only 9). While i was away he said people were cheating on search and destroy as when you saw the killcam people had red squares around them, and also lists appeared so the cheater could select anything he wanted to do. But then after one particular game my son jumped to level 70, unlocked everything he didnt understand why and i just thought he made it and didnt realise. But now im back he had a message from user name wildy_01 which said if he prestiges again then this wildy would make him level 70 again straight away. Also every game hes played since this has had modders and hackers in. Auto aim, special weapons, mega jumps and random messages keep coming up on the screen about donating to paypal for information. What the hell has happened and how do we get it back to normal? Also when he jumped to level 70 his clan tag appeared as {++}. Any information would be great. We arent cheaters and we dont want to be! Thanks fellas

Sorry dude, as you may have gathered by the amount of people complaining about PS3 hacks recently, there's no way back. Everything you describe is down to hackers ruining it for everyone else.
I tried playing MW2 for the first time in months last night and encountered pretty much the same shit in every game, it's utterly unplayable at the moment.
Apparently a patch is coming out in the next few weeks, we'll see if it addresses the issues..... that's your only hope of normal play moving forward.

You should try to move on to Black Ops, for PS3. MW2 is a good game in its own right, but unless this patch solves the problems, it's virtually unplayable on PS3. You can barely find one unhacked game anymore.
